i came back! i went to both FSH had some but no waht i want. they had a size 40 black this morning, 30 is a beige colour too small. i want 35 none :( i went back in the afternoon the same SA helped me, she told me an hour ago, they had a black 35 :( was sold.! i saw a women holding a gold 35, she was decidinig it would be mine if she dont get it, but at the end she got it. i guess its not meant to be. i went back late afternoon to FSH, none :( i was gonna go on sat but den i went to chanel, i got a J12 and a Jumbo (something that i wanted from the start). so i guess thats' the end. it wasn't meant to be :(. i'm leaving on sun, 2mor i'm going to versaille so no chance and sat, its okay.

i was gonna just get a Kelly dark brown 35 on display but i was thinking, if im spending so much money of course i should get something that i want and LOve not just any birkin or kelly gotta be perfect leather and colour. guess i will go on the reseller route when my bank recovers lol

so there's really no hope for a birkin in august? even if i get to FSH on the 2nd of Aug at 10am??

i was so hopeful! *sigh* how about a kelly?

If "everyone" is going to Paris in hopes to score a Birkin, then I should STAY AWAY from Paris since the chances are slimmer now. LOL

I think it's ridiculous for SAs to play games like that, making a customer go back again and again. They're just testing to see if you're serious about searching for a Birkin before they bring out the goodies.

i don't think the SA in Paris play games. birkins and kellys fly off the shelves faster than hot cakes there.
there's always sightings about how fast those bags fly off the shelves (or off the SA hands) in FSH.
some customers go back to the FSH shop a few times because FSH shop get 2-3 deliveries a day when the craftsmen are not on holiday (in August for 1 month).

If you check the inventory thread I posted what I saw on Saturday in FSH. No games there and there were birkins galore.

Hermes SA's dont need to "test" anything, if a birkin is available in FSH, it is sold simple as that, it cannot be made any clearer.

A hard time to get birkins is in August, but even then I do know some people that have been lucky. Think about it, if you placed an order for a birkin and it is ready in August and you have already found one else where, you tell FSH that you dont need it, they will then make it available for sale for anyone to purchase.

Update on my original questions regarding SO's at FSH!!!

Just returned from my trip last night. Headed to Paris from London via Eurostar last Friday. Checked into the hotel around 4:00 and immediately headed to Hermes. Walked in and looked around to find an SA who looked friendly and not busy with another customer. Took 2 times around the sales floor and then I spotted a lovely SA with a sweet smile. I approached her and told her I was looking to place a SO as I wasn't able to in the US. She asked me what I was looking for and told me to wait a moment and disappeared into a back room.

She came out carrying a white book and told me I could place my order. I think I went into shock at that moment. We got all the details written down and then she told me the bag would be ready in about 12 months. I thanked her profusely and walked out of the store in a daze. Did this really happen on my first day in Paris, with the first SA I spoke to? She gave me a card with my order number on it and I just stared at it the rest of the day. I was only in Paris for 1 night and my dream came true. What a perfect trip.

So.........I guess it really can happen to just a regular person after all. She made my day and I am still pinching myself. Oh my gosh

I did see several other people placing SO's as well. I guess it is still so hard to believe, that it won't seem real until they contact me to say my bag is ready.

I just wanted to share my story with all of you who were wondering about SO's and hoping to place one as well.

OMG ! OMG! I'm soooooo happy for you~~~ Yeah~~~ you placed your SO!! that's soooo super!! so the SA told you 12 months? I think a lot of fellow tPFers are experiencing much shorter wait time!! Who knows, you might be notified in 6 mos~~ this is wonderful new!! Congrats!!!

I thought of you on this trip, especially when we went into Laduree to have a lovely breakfast and to purchase macaroons and my favorite teas to bring home. The pictures you took when you were there were so beautiful.

I still can't believe it happened. I am so excited.
