Since you are going to be in hong Kong first and then Tokyo, why don't you also visit some of the reseller stores in HK? The chance of getting a B in HK H shop is close to zero, but some of the reseller stores, like the Milan Station shop in Causeway Bay, has a large collection of Bs. And you had said budget is no issue so naturally you should view all that are available for you to purchase right? And this is esp. true if you already have a specific color / size in mind. Just my two cents.

I would recommend buying your H in Tokyo, either at any of the H stores or one of the larger H specialty resellers. While I am sure that there are some options in HK, I can tell you that the selection in Tokyo is far, far greater than anywhere else in the world and the shopping experience in Japan at both the H stores and the resellers is fantastic!
In other words, unless you find EXACTLY what you want in HK (and are sure of its authenticity if you buy from a reseller), it might be wise to wait for Tokyo.

If you want an exotic, there were many ostrich and croc bags at the small, appointment only, H store at the Ritz Hotel (? If forget, but I think it is in the Maronuchi area) when I was there.

If I were you, and if you are looking primarily for Birkins or Kellys, I'd first try the Ginza H, then the Ritz Hotel one, and then go on to some of the respected resellers. The H at the Tokyo department stores were very nice (and the SA's at all wonderful), but didn't seem to have the same, large selection of Birkins. (Locals, correct me if I'm wrong!)

Good luck!

I really can't wait! Thanks ladies...

if you are in hk first go to the H store for kelly ...usually have stock there ... plus they will be at least 10-15% cheaper than H japan with the high yen ... HK resellers you never know how 'authentic' they are... tpfers even found fakes in paris so you never know since you are going to japan after get the birkins there... the SAs are super helpful and will search the one you want for you... i wouldnt buy from a reseller especially since you're going to japan right after ...even if you cant find the one you want in japan H they resellers there have store full of birkins ... definitely more choices than hk

Wow tks! That's a big tipoff...I shall get my Kelly in HK...but would the SAs be willing to show me the bags if I ask? Or they are displayed openly at the H? Cos where I am, I must know the SA before they show me the bag...

no just go in and ask they usually have kelly ... ppl in HK are crazy for birkins not so much for kelly... only H fans really buys them... should have the neutral colors black gold etc dont expect shocking rose or something bright .. those you might get them in japan...besides we have like 7 stores ...definitely will find a kelly ... and after that won't hurt to ask for a birkin ... definitely try HK H first ... no harm... not saying money is a problem or anything but H japan is really really expensive ... i got an ostrich in the summer when the yen was $.08 HK to 1 yen ... now its $.087 so my birkin was over $17,000 HK more if i got it now ... which is alot ... when its about $130,000 here to 2mil yen (174,000 now) there ... i can buy an extra KP with the difference

Lovely..really appreciate you sharing these info with me...so happy cos I be flying off this Sat. I shall drop by the H at Peninsular 1st (or is there a better H out there???) to ask about the Kelly. Seriously, if the idea is to check out the Kelly in the various H stores before deciding which to buy, is the SA going to give that look---is she trying to be funny!

You can go to H in LeeGardens(HK),the SAs are nice there, you can buy some accessories first, then if you ask kelly or birkin, they will show you, and even call other stores to find the one you want. Good Luck!!!

Nothing beats the feeling of having a bag brand-new from the store, IMO.

If I am to buy from the Reseller, shall I buy in Hong Kong or Tokyo pls (in terms of pricings) ? Which country has more choices disregarding the prices?

Please help me!

Thanks,
