I think it is a pareo, I am looking at the way it is hemmed. I just compared the hem with my pareo (diff print) and it looks the same. I also looked at one of my Voiles and it is not hemmed that way. I can't comment on authenticity, sorry about that. It looks thin too like a pareo too. (price 510. US on Hermes.com)

Comment:
I have a question about this cotton shawl.
A month or more ago I asked whether anyone had seen a cotton voile shawl, I had found the reference in the semi-yearly book, but wanted to know whether anyone had seen them.
Later I saw those shawl in Madison Ave Store, but prints were not my style and I never inquired about price.
Now I see on ebay the cotton shawl TDF, as far as I am concerned, but the price is too high, the seller nad not received too many accolades.
I want to know if it looks realistic, does such print exist; did anyone see it in the store, what is the store price of it?
It's not an original Jungle Love, so who is the artist of this shawl?
the seller misrepresented (to probably get a better price). This is indeed the Cotten Pareo, about 70" X 60" approx. which H has been doing for many years. They are machine stitched, not hand rolled like a shawl sold in the scarf section. The Pareos are sold with the Towels in a H boutique. They retail for about $500 and like the enamel bracelet, they are inspired and influeneced by the silk scarves but DON'T LOOK EXACTLY LIKE THE SILK SCARF. Thus, a "Jungle Love" in an enamel bracelet or a pareo is going to look different from "Jungle Love" the silk scarf.

As for this particular pareo, I believe that it is from several seasons ago. I doubt it's still avail in the stores but you can always check. REMEMBER THAT THEY ARE IN THE TOWELS SECTION.

Thank you Seton and Encore Hermes.
I am not interested in the pareo, it is the cotton shawl that I am looking for. I enjoy the feel of cotton voile against my skin, it is delicate but not as slippery as chiffon, and the size would be just good for me. But I saw 3 shawls in the store and they were not my c/w's.
Does anyone know the price for those?

And as far as the ebay item, it is represented as a square on a picture, and it is misleading. Intentionally? Not nice at all.

^^This is the problem with this seller, she lists things inaccurately and even worse, sends the wrong piece. Both have happened to me with her and I'm not trying for a third. She has pretty things and they are authentic, but that is it.

Default Found this on Craigslist, is this authentic?
I don't know much about the Hermes scarfs so any insight from the pros would be much appreciated. Thanks!

GraceKelly, there is an error by omission ( like 70" x 58" square) and there is an intentional misrepresentation when the picture displays a shawl of supposedly 70" square. The number 70" is mentioned several times, while "70 x 58 square" only once. There is no such word as "pareo", but several times repeted "shawl"
I, personally, would never be able to trust descriptions by this seller in the future

TIA and it is a shame as she does have nice things, but it isn't worth taking a chance.

Hello Seton, I just happened to pass by your comment on this sale by "yourchariot", seller for whom I was desperately seeking appreciations. I had seen this jungle love and even qualified it as "ugly". ( Sorry for that if it would hurt somebuyers feelings) BUT there is something that really bugs me : on the care tag, I have never seen a minimum temperature for washing. Really, would H. make such a mistake ??? I can garantee you, at least in Europe, that it is always a "maximum" washing temperature (and generally even 40 degrees to be on the safe side concerning colors).

What do you think ? I dont have (by far) your experience but to me its a fake, nothing more.

I'm personally waiting for my shawl recently bought from this buyer, and I DO REALLY FRET !

Thanks again for all your knowledge

well

1. I remember the cws that were made
2. I have seen that cw on a faker site eg Ksaler
http://www.ksaler.com/showcsort2.asp

But, if you are looking for a way to spot the fakeness, the best I can come up with is that it is not a Hermes-ish cw or at least those bright coilors were not done by H when that scarf was issued as few years ago (yes, they are doing brights this year...) Unfortunately the fake sites rarely give good enough photos to be able to call out details that are a dead give away but on that fake if you can get a pic of the copyright - it is in the wrong font

This seller sells lots of H scarves, AFAIK they are authentic but I have never dealt with them. That's a great price on the mousse, though!
