can someone help me spot this one? i know it is a long shot since it came out last year, but i also know that until recently, one was available in one H in asia. so i am trying to be hopeful....

Have you tried asking the store to do a global search for you? It may take a month or so.. but you never know what goodies they can unearth!

It never hurts to ask them to do a search again

It's cos when they do the search, they are actually subjected to the "mercy" of the store which does have the merchandise. The other store has the right to release the merchandise or not (in which case, your SA will probably tell you she/he can't find it)

This happened with my TB shawl. About a year ago I asked my SA to do a worldwide search for it, and the result was negative, so I sought to find it via other means. When that too failed, I asked my SA to run a search again, and VOILA! she found it.

It really depends on whether the other store wants to release the item, or if they want to keep it for their own customers. Usually if the item is popular or they think it is going to be popular, they will not release it.

pyrexia is right about the above, it's ultimately up to the store who has it to agree to release it. Then again, ho harm requesting your SA to run another search.

Something to note though, if your SA is successful, it wouldn't be nice if you decide not to take it, as the shawl becomes an inventory of the store i.e. an item accounted for in the profitability.

hi pyrexia, yes, i am aware of that, so i am just now in the middle of a talk with my SA (she had to call me back, i guess lunch time is a bad time to call) as to whether she can kindly try another search for me. i have not had much luck with this shawl. there has been two major miscommunication with two H stores regarding this particular shawl so far. and i am beginning to wonder if this is a sign!!

ms piggy, i do realize that, and that is why i have never done a search for anything until now. i have tried the shawl myself personally while traveling overseas but did not get it right there and then. i finally decided that i want it. and here we are.

What I can say about H is - don't give up.

Whether you find it at the store itself, or on Ebay (or other resellers), it will pop up sometime.

It's frustrating when it slips through your fingers (had this happen with my TB shawl too!) but when you get it - you'll really forget all the hard work and the effort needed!

Good luck on trying to find your item - will keep an eye out for you!

call the airport stores. The changi ones have had interesting stuff pop up from time to time and they are not affiliated to the H main stores. Airport store staff are quite accomodating and willing to contact you once your desired item is in stock.

If you don't mind buying online, this one is ended without any bid on it. I had it in my view list, love the colorway but I don't know if that would suit me so I decided to pass.
So if you can't find it in the H. store maybe you can ask the seller if it's still for sale. If you're interested in it, make sure that you have it authenticated first. Good luck!

Bagpunk, you may also want to try Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf's. I think tigre royale came out in 2006, not last year, but I am not sure. Good luck. Wall St had an orange one earlier this year. And, I am not sure where you are located, but iTA about asking again for global search. Also many people contact darra in the Charlotte store who seems to find a lot of stuff for tpfers.
