^^ I was told that bi-colour birkins are only marginally more expensive than uni-colour ones in the same leather. Won't know the exact price till it's ready. Was that what you meant by "combo"?

The mix of leather and exotic (croc) bags are few and far between. The reason you do not see many is that even though there are only "slivers" of croc on the bag, they are counted under the store's exotic allocation. So, from a cost benefit analysis, using the exotic allocation for a less expensive bag is not the best use of that allocation. Hence, few managers will actually place orders for this type of combo. I personally love the combo of box leather and croc on a kelly. Wish there were some to be had...

Thanks hermesmonkey for the info. Reading what you wrote, I recalled now I saw an ostrich and croc combo Kelly 32 on a customer in one of my local stores (my eyes nearly popped out when I saw it!!). I was told it's an SO the customer had from one of the overseas stores. From your experience, do you think it's possible for H to accept mixing of exotics?

Has anyone seen a birkin combo of crocodile/alligator with toile or leather? Does anyone know the price? Also does anyone know how much the special order 30cm lizard birkin costs? I've seen a picture of a orange croc with white toile. I've attached it.

I think mixing exotic with exotic has a better chance of getting accepted. You are best to work with your SM on that type of SO, since it will still take up one of their exotic allocations. At the end of the day, it's up to the SM whether they want to place the order for you. I really wanted that box/croc combo, but didnt' want to put my SM on the spot for that...at least not yet. There are still full exotics that are on my list, so I'm getting through them one by one. He knows at some point, that I will have him place that order for me...when there is nothing else on the H front that I want. That birdie/croc combo must be interesting. I have never seen anything like that.

The ostrich/croc combo was certainly eye catching (although personally not a fan)! I'm not about to order one at this point, not even a full exotic type. I had it on reliable H authority that such (2-exotic) combination was not possible. So I am wondering if anyone out there has similar experiences with such combination bags, either having seen one or in the propitious position to order one!

Hi Everybody, when i was passing through a high-end second hand/new bag store, I saw one of the ultimate birkins anyone who want. A 30cm or 35cm black crocodylus Porosus birkin with pave diamond hardware. The price tag? HKD$968,000 =USD$124,848. I think it is brand new and with the credit crunch I guess some rich lady sold it to the store for some $$$ (alot of it). Anyone wants to buy it? Better come to Hong Kong quick cause bags there sell very quickly. I have posted a picture of it so we can all gasp at its beauty!
