I could be wrong about who asked what, and truthfully there are a several opinions on this....it is definitely something we wonder about and we have heard varying policies on it...it could differ by store or region, even.

If you are interested in a shooting star bag, i would say that it would be wise to either ask your own store what their policy is, phone NY or BH and speak to Claude or Manuela, or, just know that it is a grey area and take extra care of the bag, just in case.

And count on the question arising again if you were to want to resell the bag.
Thanks CobaltBlu and Hello!
Interesting info and it's very tempting

I just need to clarify - I bought this bag from sandiaexchange.

& I received an email from Kaz yesterday re. this matter & she asked if I was the one selling the bag - which of course is not me.

Didnt think much about it but now that i read here that the scammer is also from singapore - i felt compelled to explain this in the open in case anyone misunderstood me as the scammer.

Word of Caution: The scamming activities in Singapore seems to be on the rise. There is a scarcity of H bags like the Birkins and Kellys, and unless you are aware of the true identity of the person behind the IDs, my advice to you all is to avoid even trying. Likelihood it's a scam. There are only a couple of resellers from Singapore in the reputable resellers' list.

Could this be real?

My first reaction to auctions with typos and receipts is always, "not!"

bbbochap, do you still have the bag? Perhaps you can post a pic of it with the current date, and send it to sandia exchange and also the authenticate thread to further clarify the matter? Oh, and don't forget to watermark the pics to avoid any more photo theft in the future. I had my pics stolen once as well... and what's crazy, is that the pics were watermarked!!

I just cant believe the audacity of what is going on.... & it sucks to be pulled into such slimy situations like this.

just glad that Kaz has been a doll & still gave me some credit/trust to drop me an email (or else i wld be in the dark about what has happened).

The leather puzzles me. I don't think it is box. It has a bit of a grain. I don't think it is barenia, either, for the same reason. Evergrain?
