Lightbulb Reference: Sample of Colour Chart.....

OK Girls, here is just a sample of what I'm doing so far. I have all the colours charted, but thought I'd just post one colour to see if it works for everyone.

Any comments are appreciated!

PLEASE NOTE: due to the unstable and unpredictable manner in which the different leathers can take to a dye, there would be minor variations and subtle differences in how the colors may appear from batch to batch. The color swatches are to be used as a general guideline for color depiction. (PLEASE REMEMBER YOU ARE VIEWING THIS ON VARIOUS COLOR MONITORS AS WELL AND ALL OF THESE FACTORS SHOULD BE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT)

HERMES BLUES:

Brighton Bluenew colour
Bleu Jeanone of the most popular H colours. Lovely bright "sky" blue. Paler in croc. bright sky blue, shade varies as to which leather it's on. Very bright and rich on Clemence, pale on Epsom leather.
Thalassadeeper blue-Mediterranean Sea Blue, same color family as Blue Jean but darker
Navya very dark French navy, very effective in box calf
Bleu RoiBright royal blue, becomes very denim-blue like on exotics
Bleu Saphir
AquaSo far only in chevre and in small accessories
TurquoiseBright green-blue, new color
Petrol
IndigoDark Navy Blue, purple undertones.
Midnight Blue
Cobalt Blue

When you open the thumbnail attachment (colour chart), if it is too small you will need to put your cursor over the picture and in the bottom right-hand corner will appear an icon with four arrows - click on this box, and your computer should re-size the swatches so you can view them.

DISCLAIMER: I took the liberty of calling an SA today to enquire why Hermes does not keep a chart like this themselves...apparently, due to the unstable an d unpredictable nature of leather, they are unable (or unwilling - LOL!!) to guarantee the exact colour of a leather at any given time. Many factors come in to play that ultimately affect the dying process (leather, weather, different dye-lots amongst others) and therefore the same colour on the same leather-type can sometimes appear a different shade.

I have taken these swatches from Members bag Photos, and from swatches that were sent to me via Members. Therefore there will be some discrepancies, and some personal objections to the colours I have posted, please bear in mind, these are the colours most people have agreed upon to be closest to accurate at the time!!

Enjoy!

Crocodile Swatches were put in one group for eye-candy, and in honour of Lilach, who helped immensely with the croc colours!!

Many thanks to Hermesgroupie, who helped with EVERYTHING!!!!!!!
