I put my newer scarves into the washing machine (with one of those colour catching thingies, in a lingerie net), no problem. But I haven't dared doing this to a vintage piece yet.

Hi there. I recently came across an old Hermes scarf, (I don't have access to a digital camera at the moment but I'll try to get a photo later) and was hoping someone could identify it.

So the scarf is predominantly red. There appears to be some sort of design woven into the actual silk, jacquard I think it's called. It has an Australia theme. Anyone seen or heard of it?

I heard it is ok to use the washing machine, as long as the scarves do not have green on them. apparently it bleeds...

Hi there, I would like to buy my wife a Hermes scarves and found this on the bay http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&it em=190268830635 . Could some one tell me if this is the real deal. I looked my self on the net and found 4 different versions of this scarves I don't speak of different colors what I mean different writing and labeling. There must be a lot of fakes around.
