Good job on the Napoleon!!! Would have loved to see a 'before' pic. Or maybe not
I put my newer scarves into the washing machine (with one of those colour catching thingies, in a lingerie net), no problem. But I haven't dared doing this to a vintage piece yet.

Hi there. I recently came across an old Hermes scarf, (I don't have access to a digital camera at the moment but I'll try to get a photo later) and was hoping someone could identify it.

So the scarf is predominantly red. There appears to be some sort of design woven into the actual silk, jacquard I think it's called. It has an Australia theme. Anyone seen or heard of it?

I heard it is ok to use the washing machine, as long as the scarves do not have green on them. apparently it bleeds...

Another fun fact - the scarf was so filthy when it arrived that I immediately hand washed it. I was so disgusted with all the dirt, stains and dried crud on the scarf (the seller stated it was in very good condition - maybe with beer goggles on!) that I gave up and threw it loose in the washing machine. I was fully prepared for it to be ruined but it came out quite fine. No runs of any kind! I even managed to plump up the flat ironed hems (ugggh) by rolling them between my thumbs and fingers. Enjoy!

Could some one tell me if this is the real deal. I looked my self on the net and found 4 different versions of this scarves I don't speak of different colors what I mean different writing and labeling. There must be a lot of fakes around.
Thanks Olaf

Hi gurus,
Does anyone know the name of this scarf? also any details on designer and year of issue would be great. This is the cashmere scarf (not shawl). Thanks!
