Hi Ladies,

I have a huge Purse obssesion and have recently set my eye on a Birkin but since I have long thought them unattainable I do not know anything about them. I want to figure out the best size (35 cm vs 40 cm Birkin - I am 5' 10") but I saw a picture of a girls HAC filled with stuff and that looked quite good but what is HAC? What is the difference between a HAC and a Birkin?

I am currently in Paris and we were in Hermes yesterday but I was too shy to ask about Birkin's - would they help an "normal" person with a Birkin inquiry?

I've got LV's, Balenciaga's, Devi Kroell's, Marc Jacobs, Hogans and Jimmy Choo but I can't stop thinking about the Birkin!

Any info is much appreciated.

Welcome! I'm 5'10" and the 35 cm Birkin is perfect for me...the 40 is more luggage like. Th HAC is taller than the Birkin and the handles are shorter. The HAC comes in a 28, 32, and 36 cm size whereas the Birkin is 30 and 35.

Good luck and read TammyD's post...she got some great bags in Paris by visiting daily and there are multiple deliveries per day.

is 36 HAC is a new size?
people said the HAC is harder to get...and the price is slighly highert than normal birkin?
is that true...

It's always the width, measured at the bottom.
