first, thanks to all those who put in so much time and effort assembling the colour chart to educate us newbies!

open question: i'm looking at this lizard birkin on eBay, can anyone tell what color it is? seller says it is not black but describes it as:

"color is almost like a dark pewter with a hint of brown.....like a muddy dark pewter"

any idea? TIA!

tabac camel is a slightly golden dark camel colour. The richness of tone comes from its closer affiliation to tobacco - it it's natural state - so it is richer, more golden and darker than biscuit.

Thanks for that info!! Do you think that it is too close to Gold in colour? On some sites, tabac looks so beige, in others almost flesh. Biscuit looks like light mocha to me. And etoupe is more of a grayish beige?

Sorry for so many questions.. I already have a gold and wouldn't want to get something so similar to it.

If you have gold stay away from tabac camel - they are very similar but the colours come out so differently according to skin and light. Biscuit is like a very, very pale cafe au lait. If you still want a neutal but want to stay away from the gold family of colours etoupe could be your thing as it belongs more with the greys. Be careful - it's a minefield out there!

Hi everybody!
Does anyone have a swatch for biscuit? Or an item that shows the color true to life?
TIA

This is fantastic! thanks so much!

Could I make one little request?
I did not see etoupe in the chevre - might there be a reference for it or did I miss it?

It's so amazing how the same colour takes so differently on each type of skin.

I was wondering about biscuit too.
And etoupe does look beige in some fotos then more grey and taupe in others. Not sure whether its the lighting, the type of leather or both?

Default bleue de prusse

I need to bring another color up. I was last week in George V Hermes and saw a kelly in bleue de prusse (sorry if mispelling). I loved the color and was wondering if anybody has a birkin in that color

What color of red do you think this togo swatch is? I was going back and forth between rouge garance and rouge vif. Anyone care to give an opinion?

Thanks!
