I seriously need a messenger bag for travel, hence Evelyne. Here is the Evelyne III GM in Clemence Cafe, a very rich brown color I love !

I just got a prune clemence gm3 - will post a reveal after a couple of days....

anyways, i feel the bag is heavy! i've already pared down my stuff and still it's heavy!

i've noticed though that my straps are super long. with the shortest "setting" the top of the bag falls to my hipbone. i;ve been carrying it for 2 days and the area between my neck & shoulder feels so achy.

i've shortened the strap (by sewing it together, but still adjustable) to where the top of the bag will hit my waist. Hope it'll all be better when i use it again tomorrow. I'm 5'1 1/2" BTW....

but i still love my evelyne!!!

baileylab - Congrats on your a prune clemence gm3; looking forward to your reveal .

I'm surprised to hear you said the GMIII was heavy and caused pain between your neck and shoulder !!! I feel it's pretty light to me; I haven't wear mine out yet. Got to give it a test drive the next few days before my trip!

I think i've figured out why my Evelyne is a tad heavier. Compare the hardware on the old one (BDP) and the new one (cafe) at the bottom.

I actually don't like the new one. The split lands right smack on the top of my shoulder on the adjustment i wanted, thus hitting my shoulder and digging into it. Maybe that's why i felt sore carrying it. Now i have to have it repaired to suit my needs. I definitely like the old one better.
