Okay, sorry for the rant and for the long post I am going to write.
Yes,I absolutely agree with you
India. I am not liking either of these bags.
The toolbox looks really ugly to me.
I am not liking as well the direction that Hermès is taking. It also seems to me that since Mr Dumas has died a few months ago, things are going very fast. Like if they had all this ready but they waited with respect so that they wouldn't do something that really disappointed him. Maybe it's just me but it is the way I feel.
Don't misunderstand me, it's not that I am not liking all the innovations.
As a matter of fact as on one hand I appreciate the fact that H is being traditional and timeless, on the other I had this feeling that they NEEDED to give a twist in order not to go out of fashion.
For this reason I am very VERY happy with some things such as the Shadow edition (even if I didn't like it), the So Black concept (wich I wish wouldn't be a limited edition), I love their bringing back the micro bags, I adore the Flash idea, I love the Bicolour idea and the Candy colours for ss 2011. Oh, I forgot, and tank you H god for making Barenia more available.
I just think they are going too far with the Toolbox and this other squarish "I wanna be Chanel" bag and a few other things wich may screw up the image of the maison, such as for example...
I don't like at all all this Alligator waive, with Niloticus being the new Porosus, and Porosus being a thing upon all the rest. Many of us H customers are discerning customers, and we not "that" stupid. Alligator can't be like croc, end of topic!
I don't like is their trying to make people love Epsom again by offering all the new appealing colours in Epsom only. Come on, it is well known that most people prefer other leathers, so what is that? Is it that they have to' unload a huuuuge quantity of Epsom leather or is it that they had a great price on it because their tanneries are finding it harder to sell it?
