In regard to the corn pudding, it is yummy and makes a nice change from squash, etc. It has a lovely topping of brown sugar, cinnamon and melted butter, etc. Easy to make too!
Lily, please tell me you placed my order with MT!!!

I just joined you and ordered a black one. Can't wait to wear it to the company's Christmas party.
Careful there, chkpf. In that collar, you'll look so rich that the company will figure you never need a raise again!

Or, it may be the other way around, robee. All those cute postal guys may be competing to see why gets to do the package pick-up's at chez MaiTai. Could you blame them?

After the holidays-I'd love the recipe...and how many ornaments do you have to buy to get a 35?? (gift w/ purchase) just sign me up as my money tree should be in full bloom by then!
I'll be happy to share, allaborsa, and will post it right after turkey day. And about that gift with purchase, I think you'll have to take that up with the muse herself.

Heck, she doesn't even know that I signed her up to make Birkin and Kelly ornaments yet. She may fire me as a friend at this point!

Yes, shelby, of course. I ordered you three dozen of each. However, your card will not be charged until they ship!

Lily: I got a nice PM from Dear MT. And you've a point about wearing the collar to the company's event but my raise is already low enough. I don't think it matters !!! I plan to bring it home to HK and wear it there. Mommy told me that fur collar is 'BIG' this year there !!

Hi Everybody!!!!!!! OMG! I’m trying to catch up!!!

Thanksgiving menu at my house this year includes:

Turkey - duh - often I brine it, last year didn't and it was so moist and tender - this year I'm doing a dry rub for 24 hours - then day of stuff it w/ DM's recipe(see below) rub skin with butter , salt, pepper and then brush every 20 or so mins with melted butter/white wine

gravy

fresh cranberry sauce

butter milk rolls

DM's extra delicious stuffing - wild rice, chestnuts, mushrooms, small chunks of pancetta , very small amount of cubed bread, onions, parsley, thyme, salt , pepper etc – we stuff the birdie with this and also do it as a side

Corn bread stuffing - trying a new really spicy one this year for fun just as a side

haricot verts - tossed with blue cheese, pancetta and nuts (sound ghastly but is DIVINE)

Carrots – glazed with butter, white wine

traditional mashed potatoes

roasted butter nut squash

simple green salad

pecan and pumpkin pies for dessert ( I’m a savory gal, don’t care too much for sweets BUT love pecan pie!)
