Check!

Got it! Brilliant addition I must say. Wow, how did I miss the above photo too?

MaiTai - you'll have to write a small library of books!
- cooking
- gardening
- decorating
- how to tie a scarf
- style (multi-volume edition)
- CLASS

- Photography (thanks PetPringles!)

Mai Tai - harvesting any grapes? My dh makes wine every fall....we get grapes from CA, ferment them, press them, make it, the whole 9 yards.

after all this hard work, we deserved a little break! I made Apricot Pie and we had some pink wine...seeing this now, all the pain in the back and hands is forgotten, I loooong for this year's harvest. Does anybody want to help this year?

The brown rings you see on the table are made from wine cuttings. They are not difficult to make and can be used as a base for making all kinds of wreaths, lavender, rosemary, thyme..you name it!

and here we are, a couple of lavender wreaths!

Hope you enjoyed it!
Whoo hoo!!! where do I sign up for MaiTai club ...

MaiTai,
You are beautiful outside and inside, truly a classy lady.

Also, you have serious talent... WOW, your garden is gorgeous and what lovely lavenders, I can almost smell them.

So here some OT () pics from last summer's lavender harvest. It is pretty hard work, as you have to cut them right down, for them to grow beautifully back the next year. I had a friend over, who loves lavender and so it was good fun despite. We had 30 bushes to cut, some of them were enormous.

these ones weren't so bad..

but these were

It was a sunny hot day, so I decided to wear a straw hat. The Twilly added instant chic and my head stayed cool.
Oh MaiTai...I love Lavender!!! I miss Provence and Cote D'Azur so much!! Can't wait to go back!! I hope you don't mind me asking. Do you live in southern France (my dream home one day)?

What a great thread!
MaiTai - I lavender! I have a bunch in my hallway and love the smell! I can just imagine how divine it must have been that day you were doing your harvest! I would so love to be there :)

What a beautiful home you have. Your English is native-level, may I ask if you moved to France from the US or elsewhere?

I LOVE you MaiTai! You make me want to be healthier, walk taller, sit up straight, be a lady, lose a few kilos, be less lazy, walk instead of driving, smile more often, celebrate each day for the fact that there is a certain dignified way to live this life. I think you're really a calming influence for me - I often think, what would MaiTai do in this situation if I'm having a bad day, and I feel immediately better just knowing I can find you here. You're a treasure - I hope I didn't embarass you, but I just wanted you to know how much you are loved and adored.
