The HAC is definitely the bag for me. I much prefer it's slimmer profile to the 35 birkin's "girth". (I have enough of my own "girth", thank you! )

Here's mine, circa 2001 black ardennes with gold hw:

We are HAC twins Roo! I also have black ardennes with gold hardware

My favorite HAC is my Bleu Paon Chevre Mangalore. The color combined with the skin just rocks my world

Oh, I do love it! The ardennes is soooo durable! I drag that bag all over the place and it never gets beat up! It truly is a workhorse bag for me because I never have to worry about it

What a great thread and what a lot of eye candy, everybody is looking great !
Today I posted a thread because I need some advice for my second H. bag. I already have a 28 ebene Kelly but I didn't know which one to choose as my second H. I was debating between 30 and 35 Birkin or maybe even another Kelly but now I've seen this thread I must say that the HAC is a serious option too! I love it and I love the fact that it is possible to wear it with a shoulder strap !

BTW, I'd love to see a comparison pic with a 28 Kelly and a 28 HAC to see the differences in size.

Default All hail the HAC is so right
I'm in Montreal and here we pronounce it HO TA KOURWAH . I traded a new birkin35 and a red Bolide in Chamonix leather, for a had-to-have used HAC32cm white stitch gold hardware year D in a colour that can only be described as orangegoldentan. I carry that bag most of the time. My poor Birkins must be offended. I was lucky enough to also find the big clochette in the same colour same leather, porc-lisse. That HAC gets compliments even from" regular people " i.e. those who don't know the brand Hermes, that I think I made a good choice. If only I could find a larger HAC in Barenia leather with white stitch I could give my pigskin a rest !! Are there any Barenia fans out there? My birkin35cm year E is now dark brown after using it as a beach bag on many trips. My Dad even used it as briefcase when his was full.

Big Orange Box - welcome! And please add me to the list of people eagerly awaiting the unveiling of your 32 HAC porc lisse! I have a vintage porc lisse kelly 28 and a 32 barenia HAC and like a lot of other wonderful people on tpf, I share your aesthetic!

Hello!! I also had a kelly 32 porc-lisse in the same colour as my HAC. I stupidly sold it. Did you know that if you put your barenia in a airtight plastic bag for a few days the smell of the leather will come back. Would you beleive I sniff any H-bag I'm considering buying at our shop here in Montreal. Before our shop opened I was only in the H shop in St.Barhs, the old shop, privately owned. Hermes took it over re-did it and it lost it's charm. If ever you want to go on a safe vacation, St.Barths is it. you can leave your stuff, birkins, rolex, cash on the beach and it wil be there when you return. Why? everyone has 10 fold of those items. If left on beach and a rainstorm happens we just bring it to the closest dry area and watch for the owner. pics of the HAC comming soon.

Goodmorning !!! My golden pig HAC will be coming to a theater near you as well as Mr.B. Who is this mister B? The barenia Birkin35cm. The killer B. Nothing can destroy that leather. Barenia isn't for the faint of heart. Everything shows on that leather. A scratch can be quickly "fixed" with a thumb rub. I bought Mr.B from a friend who had bought him from "Beatrice". Another friend here in Montreal LOVED that bag so much she bought one also. She keeps it in her closet.Wouldn't want to get a mark on it??? That the whole point in Barenia.
Funny what some people say about my HAC, "nice Birkin", of course I correct this by informing them IT"S NOT A BIRKIN !!! I get the look of you poor girl, it's a fake? I choose my battles carefully. Some think Birkin is the brand not the style by Hermes .Pixs coming soon. When the insurance man came to see my new to me house he opened one closet and said "thats why you chose Chubb", we know about you people. You have way too many orange boxes inside other orange boxes. Gloves @$800.? I told him it was for 2 gloves. Croco H loafers bought used $1,500. again that is for 2 shoes. He just looked down and shook his head. He asked me wht car I drove, VWGTi, now he shrugged his shouldrs and looked up at the sky. I could hear his thoughts which I will not repeat. Now I'm looking for a 50cm HAC, well used brown with the old brass hardware. Why? I just don't know.
