Collecting handbags and an obsession with being thin-- that pretty much sums up the meaning of my life.

Those BMI calculators really do not take much into account at all... male/female, bone structure, fat %... don't sweat it - it is not real for most of us.

Wow, you all are so thin!

BMI just gives an idea of what "healthy" weight is. But it is terribly inaccurate. Body builders will have high BMIs, but are they unhealthy? No.

A more important number is your waist circumference - if you carry a lot of weight in that area it is considered more unhealthy, as it implies that you have fat around your organs as well.

So if I should disregard my BMI, should I look at my body fat percentage or what?

BMI is not important. It's your body fat percentage that is the real deal.

Mine is 18.6.
