Hello to all the new people!

Naga-eatting out kills me too and it's so expensive. I try to order just a salad with grilled chicken and then a side of a grilled vegetable. AC had some great advice for you to give your boyfriend. She is so good like that. My friends always want to go out to eat.

Divyaangana-Don't be discourage. If anything, use this to motivate yourself to step it up a notch this week.

ilovepinkhearts-Congrats on having baby. You should get a new scale. I did and it has made a world of difference.

AC-thanks for the site. I have been looking up the nutrutional value of foods at restaurants and was shocked at how may calories are in some of those salads. I usually get a garden salad with grilled chicken. The bread basket kills me but I have been good at saying no.

This weeks goals are to stay on my diet for the week! That alone has been hard for me. And to work out five days this week. My schedule is jammed back but I'm going to try my hardest to make it work.

AmourCouture, thanks for the support. I'll take your advice. I am going to really going to bring my own food even and pop it in his fridge, so that I have something healthy and cheap to eat. And, when we do go out, I'll make sure he tells me beforehand so that I can check up on the cals on the website and pick my item.

mree43, It is a pain to my body and my wallet. I'm not exaggerating when I say that I spend 200-300 bucks every other weekend including Friday on restaurant food alone when I'm with my SO. Although, to be fair, he's been unemployed for 3 months, and I've been covering everything for him except most basic living expenses. He will pay me back when he finds a job. He's told me a few times in a very light way that we don't have to eat out, but then would start making sly comments about how he misses this or that restaurant, and I would feel bad because he'd sound "deprived," so I'd give in. Anyway, he's a great guy and considerate for the most part, so he understands that we have to cut back a lot and will work with me until he finds a job and pays me back. I'm sure of it.

OF COURSE he loves eating out when you are picking up the bill. I think you should tell him that you are done taking him out to eat. Make up a reason if you have to, but I think the fact that you are trying to make healthier choices the best reason of all! I guarantee the moment you start telling him no on the food it will be empowering for you and will be even better for your waistline!

Welcome Bchic and Buddy!

^Lol, he's actually never really been good with his own money either. Even before his unemployment, he would eat out pretty much all the time as well, with or without me, from fast food to Outback Steakhouse and beyond. However, I am done with being stagnant in my fitness. I was reflecting on my yo-yoing while I was working out today. I definitely do not want to do that anymore even if it means cutting back on my social life (since the people I hang out with are sedentary).

Welcome, Bchic and Buddy! Hope you guys get what you're looking for.

Thanks for the warm welcome AmourCouture, and NagaJolokia,

I just got back from my walk jog at the gym, having a quick brekkie before heading off to pilates. I know this will be a long journey for me, a lifestyle change, but I feel great for it.

And I Love Pink Hearts, thanks for suggesting I join this thread, it helps to have such support and understanding, and 30 pounds down is amazing!! You must feel fantastic!

Hi everyone, it's going to be a challenging week for me.

I got called for jury duty and started today, and have been initially picked for a jury. I was there all day today and it really screwed my routine up. I couldn't bring my lunch with me because there was no refrigerator available for jurors. I did go home for lunch and ate my scheduled eDiets food but skipped the diet pill because I sometimes need to make a run for a bathroom (sorry, TMI).

Tomorrow I have to go back to jury duty at 1pm, so I will have my breakfast and lunch before I go. I will bring my snack and hope I don't get too hungry.

The court is closed on Wednesday. The judge said we will probably serve until mid next week. I'm worried because I seem to keep on losing and gaining the same pound.

Just a vent, not much else.

You can do it Lori. If it is only a little over a week then you can do it. Think of how proud of yourself you will be if you can make it through all of this AND follow your plan. If you can do that, you can do anything!

I agree, skip the pill

All it is going to take is a little bit of focus and a hard push in the right direction and you will be down that pound plus a few more!

Ilovepinkhearts-Thanks! That is great that your DH lost weight as well. I'm a big believe in having a patner to help you stay focus.

Naga-I hear ya. I cannot believe how expensive it has gotten to eat out. It kills me. I use to eat out like four times a week (lunch and dinner). I decide that I wanted to eat better and save some money. That is very nice of you to pay for your bf. You should tell him that you want to try eatting home more to eat healthier. Eatting at home saves so many calories and you can make alot of things at home that you would order at a restaurant. It's hard for me as well since my friends all eat out but I made the choice to lose weight and cutting out eatting out has helped alot as I'm not so tempted. I still go out to eat just once a week. My waist and wallet are much happier now.

Bchic & Buddy-Welcome! We are all here to support each other.

Lori-Jury duty is tough. Take it one day at a time. You can do it.

I'm happy to report that I stuck to my meal plan yesterday. I didn't hit the gym as I didn't get out of work until 8:30. I'm hitting the gym today at lunch as it's going to be another long day.

Hope everyone is well.

Glad you are motivated today Mree!

I went to the gym last night and took it easy because my AF is here this week and I'm dragging. I did 30 minutes or cardio on the eliptical and it said I only burned 200 calories but better than none. At least I know I am getting back in shape when 30 minutes on the eliptical feels too easy.

I'm going to HAVE to have my latte today. I've been up since 4:30 (DH was snoring) and I'm so tired! I stuck to my plan but showed a .2 gain this morning which is discouraging. I have high intensity aerobics at 5:30 so hopefully it will kick my butt in gear!
