Default Thyroid Surgery and Hair Issues

My thyroid was removed at the end of July, 07', because of a mass (benign!) and as expected, I lost some hair. My hair has subsequently all grown back, but it's seriously dry now. I had normal/dry hair previously, but usually only had dry issues in the winter, now it's REALLY dry!

Anyone have any tips or products to use to help? TIA!

i had the surgery too and my hair is extremely dry.. i wash it every other night and make sure i comb it before i was it so i dont lose a whole bunch in the shower ... i've used aveda damage remedy and that has been fabulous! there is also a once a week hair mask i use by davines that i used one a week. i am using "natural" hair care products without the "drying" sulfates...

Yeah...look for products without sodium lauryl sulfate. John Masters Organics is supposed to be a very good line formulated without sodium lauryl sulfates. Also, I have heard that putting olive oil in your hair is wonderful for conditioning it as a once a week treatment.

^^Yes, put olive oil in your hair and preferable leave it in overnight.
