Just wondering if anyone has trained with Team in Training to do an endurance event to benefit Leukemia and Lymphoma ? DH and I signed up to do Nike womans marathon in Oct. Just wondering what others have experienced while training with them. So far for us it has been a wonderful experience.
Thanks in advance

I've never trained with them but they seem like a very cohesive group. It seems to me they run/walk in packs with coaches available to help them through the race. I've never joined bc of the fundraising and I already have an informal running group. It's a great back door entrance into the Nike Women's Marathon which usually sells out in days and this year had that lottery. See you in Oct!

I haven't trained with them either, but two of my good friends have and they LOVE it. On of them actually became a mentor or whatever. My other friend said that being attached to a cause was very motivating. I'm hoping to do another half (or maaaaybe a full!) marathon later this year or early next year and I will definitely hook up with them this time.

I knew someone that did it and loved it. I'm interested too and actually just filled out a form to get more info. I'd love to run a marathon, or more realistically...a half-marathon!

I trained with Team in Training. It was a great experience and they were very very very supportive. I was as slow as molasses and they waited for me until the end, cheered me along the way, and motivated me the whole entire run and season. GO TEAM!

For a beginner marathon runner... highly recommend , if you don't mind raising the money.
