Hey, it's been a while since I've posted here, but I moved apartments, and after that I was attacted by a nasty cold, so I haven't been too active in here, and sadly, in no state to work out at all.
My goal is to work out on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and then try and work out on an other day as well, so I'm hoping that I'll feel good enough to work out on Friday (I'm still coughing like mad, so I think it's a bit ambitious to work out tomorrow). I'm nervous about the weigh-in as I've been consuming waaaay too much over the holiday, but no matter how it goes I'll just take everything from there. |

sweetlove, I'm down and out with a nasty sinus infection and infections in both of my ears, so my workouts have been on hold as well. You have to heal up 100% before diving back into your workouts. Take care and keep us posted!

I noticed your link to this thread from your post. I wanted to take a quick moment to applaud you in your effort to lose weight and offer a bit of moral support. I know it can be tough. Although most people assume I am slim by nature, it's actually a body by Weight Watchers! It took me a year to lose the weight and I have kept it off for more than 2 years now. It truly can be done but it is hard. Hang in there ... I know you can do it!! All the best.

Thanks guys, again I'm so happy about the support I've gotten from this forum!
pltprincess I also thought you were naturally thin from your profile pic! I love seeing when people have successfully lost weight. I haven't been active in this thread for a while because the coughing just went on and on and on... blah. But I'm going to renew my gym membership tomorrow because I think it expires around this time and then I'll be back on monday I think I'll put the weigh in off for at least a week since I suspect I've gained a lot of weight since I've been five weeks without working out and then eaten a lot of stuff that I shouldn't have been eating. I did stock up on healthy food today, so I'm ready to kick-start my healthy lifestyle again!

Good luck getting back into the swing of things. Don't be discouraged if you're sore after you start working out again next week. I've been going to the gym regularly for a while (also trying to lose weight), and I was shocked how sore I was coming back after a 2-week break at Christmas. I was fine after a couple of days, though. Just think of it as your muscles getting stronger!

I wish you well in your weight loss endeavor! It can be such a struggle. I have done the body for life program for the last 4 years. It really works and I was able to keep the weight off. I do "fall off the wagon" every once in a while, esp around the holidays. I have been trying to get back in the swing of things in the last couple of weeks. I have started a new workout program though and it is kicking my butt! Hang in there! You Can do it!!!

Hey, thanks for the encouraging words everybody :) Today I got my copy of "The Beck Diet Solution" which was recommended to me earlier in this thread. I actually ordered it in December, but it got lost in the mail, so the web shop where I got it from had to send me a new copy, so things took their time. I'm really enthusiastic about sticking to what this book tells me to do, and hopefully it will show after a while.
Also, tomorrow I'm going shopping for snowboard gear! I've been wanting to snowboard since I was a kid, and now I've finally decided to take the step and do it. Hopefully, it'll be great and fun exercise!

^ I have the book and it's really great. I don't follow it exactly but I do use most of the things in there and it's really helped change the way I think about losing weight.
And have fun snowboarding! New gear of any sort is always fun and motivating. |

Thanks guys! So I finally hit the gym today, and I'm really happy about it (I just love that post-gym feeling right after I've stepped out of the shower). I'm not going to weight myself until at least another week of working out though
