Congrats on your wedding!! i dont know about preventing bloating cuz of your period, but i know that if you stay away from sodium, you will prevent any additional bloating. sodium makes you retain water, making you appear a little bloated. also, i've always just used midol for bloating and pms and its worked for me.... remember, most of the time (if not all the time), you THINK you look bigger, but to everyone else you look exactly the same!!!

R U on the pill, can you stop your period by continuing your active pills? I never get bloated or have any symptoms except cramps and rarely take anything for them. I hope you find something that works.

I stay away from salt as much as I can. If I have anything with it (chips, chinese food, pickles etc) I can feel it in my body. Drink a LOT of water which will help with your period bloat.
