I think it varies from person to person, as another poster said, so you'll have to try it to figure if it works for you.

But...for me it was a nightmare. I got dizzy, had hot flashes, horrible "flat" headaches, and my vision went seriously blurry (that was the scariest). I got off the pill right away but it took awhile for my hormones to come back in check.

I agree that every BC is different for everyone. My old college roommate swore by it so I went on OTC-Lo as well and it was terrible for me. My periods were much longer and heavier than normal, broke out more, gained a LOT (and i mean a LOT of weight), and generally just did not feel right. I stayed on it for 3 months anyway for trial period reasons but got off it right after. It also took me FOREVER to lose all the weight. (like 6-12 months)

This totally true. Everyone has different blood chemistry and hormone levels. Drugs are always something that have to be adjusted for things like this, depression, etc. Everyone just reacts differently.

It is definitely different for each person. I went back on bc about 8 months ago. I started feeling really tired, gained a lot of weight, my sex drive was wayyyy down and my blood pressure was elevated. I did not think it was the birth control b/c it took a while for my symptoms to really bother me. I had been on this bc for years off and on.

I finally realized that it must be the bc and got off of it about a month ago. I have been feeling GREAT since then.

Hmm, interesting. I never connected this to my birth control... I've been on it for 10 years, but these symptoms have only recently started for me. Did you have them from the beginning?

I just switched to a new BC yesterday because of severe mood swings. I hope it will work for me! Maybe it will also help the sores in my mouth I seem to get right before my period starts.

For me, I lost weight, my period was really short, had less cramps, my boobs didn't get bigger, I lost my sex drive, and I had bad mood swings.

I've been on it for 7 years now (started taking it for acne, i wasn't a slutty 12 year old, hahah!) and a couple years ago i had to switch from Lo to High because my body got used to it and i started to break through, but i've had no issues at all.

Also- my periods are very short and very light. Barely any cramps if at all.
