ive been on and off on my healthy/fitness routine, but i think i have a hold of it now and have been doing good for close to a month now. making better eating choices and being more active (running 2-3 miles each morning and some light lifting here and there.) the feeling has been awesome, and i feel amazing! i dont have a specific weight i want to be at, but i know there is weight i need to lose. im not sure how much i weigh currently, im trying to stay away from the scale because i know thats what gets me discouraged when i see the same number after busting my butt. so goodbye scale!
There are several persons inside you: there's a hero, there's a lazy fat one, who wants to eat. You can't fight none of them, you have to make a deal.
Developing the habits of doing sports and eating less and healthier food - that's what counts, and that's what hard to do.
My own problem is bread. I want to quit eating bread.
Do I hear you or what! I love bread too. Oh man. Especially warm, freshly-baked ones that you get when you go to a restaurant and they slide that nice basket right in front of you. Then I gorge on it and kill myself when the entree eventually comes. Big absolute no-no!
I am still plugging away. I really want to get stronger.
Thank you! Take it a day at a time, and youll be amazed how much strength you can gain over a few days.
and BREAD?? did i read correctly? nomnomnom. i love bread. i think that's what does me alot of harm at itialian places....ohhh and the cheddars biscuits/rolls from red lobster?? oh lawddd. oh and then pizza crust?? i was badddd. when bf didnt eat his crust, i would ask him for it. yeaaa i know right?? =/
anyway, i slowly let off the bread. ill have a piece..sometimes two but once the basket is done we dont accept the second basket offer.
Checking in....How is everyone doing? I'm having a good day myself. Ran 4 miles this morning. I decided I'm going to go back to using a Half marathon training schedule to keep me motivated to put in my miles...... I plan to weigh myself at the end of next week to see if the scales budged..... Today I ate good so far:
B: 1 boiled egg and an apple
I'm going to have a protein shake for a snack later and Chicken soup for dinner.....
I lost 15 lbs with that app in 2010 (had a 9 month old then). I now have my 2 year old and 10 month old.. I know how hard it is to lose weight with a little one. Lose It! inspired me by also helping me calculate calories I burned doing things around the house.. 30 cals for vacuuming, etc. Little things like that help me stay motivated.
So I'm in! I'm going to start using the app again, too.
