Yep.
Parts of the exercises are pretty intense. BUT you are supposed to do as best as you can and modify accordingly to continue doing the exercise. Such as doing pull ups w/ a chair. It would be best if you don't need a chair, but obviously a chair helps until you build enough strength to do it w/o one. Same goes for all exercises.
The push ups, if you don't have enough strength to maintain an ideal push up position, use your knees instead of your feet. Keep going, and eventually you'll build enough strength to do a proper push up.
The Pylometrics DVD....that one is good. I enjoy it. It works me. Kenpo is good too.
I find the P90X series is VERY largely focused on the pull ups/chin ups. Therefore requiring a lot of arm strength/dexterity. So I'm working my best to build up my arm strength.
After you're done w/ P90X once, do it again a second time. Or switch to something else. Come back to it. And you'll see results.
But nutrition is a HUGE part of P90X (and any other workout for that matter). You need a certain amount of calories, proteins, carbs, and fats to see results. If you don't consume enough, you're not going to see the results and you will not have the energy to do the exercises either. After that, you lose motivation, etc. Repeat cycle again next year.
I also have P90X+ and Insanity...both of which I haven't attempted yet. Scared yet? LOL. I'll be attempting both of these later this year. The P90X+ for more strength building and the Insanity primarily for the intense cardio.
