Hi all,
Bit personal but she wanted to gage your opinions, my dr has recomened I have an IUS, I have really bad periods which make me pass out, & an iron level of 7! (Should be 60). I really like the idea as it can stop my periods for up to 5 years but it can also be taken out at any time if i get broody. Has anyone else got any experience with this? |

I have no experience with this but having periods that bad would make me consider almost anything. Good luck

You aren't pregnant are you?
I think maybe this was meant for our Health & Fitness Forum?

No. The IUS is for the complete opposite, i reckon it may be a british term. Thought i'd post in here as it's a form of contraception for people who have already had children. Thought the lady's of this forum may have more knowledge for that reason.

I posted about the IUD a while back and they moved it to health and fitness section. I had one, a bit to get used to at the beginning but feeling better and the periods are almost non-existent. Mood is ok, a bit "broody" as you sa y ! I have Mirena so I feel a little crampy here and there and pms is worse from what was very mild. Bloating and most report a 5lb wt gain but my wt gain hasn't been too bad. Good luck, it hurts going in though if you haven't had a vag birth.

Yeah mine will be a Mirena, my daughter had a normal delivery so i'm not to concerned. Once you've given birth nothing seems that painful. Sounds sad but i'm really looking fwd to it, I hate my periods, can't wait to get rid of them!
