Just a quick update: Since reaching my goal weight on September 1 and entering the maintenance phase of the program, I am being repeatedly challenged. My weight has been bouncing up and down between 135 and 138! I'll be 135, then 138, then 137, then 135, then 137 or 138 again. I can't seem to make those last three pounds stay away! I am starting to wonder if 137 or 138 is just where my body wants to be. It's a little disppointing, but I am trying not to obsess over it and just work harder at eating right and getting enough exercise to keep my burning those calories. I have been coming back to this thread for encouragement. Everyone here has been wonderful to me, and I feel blessed to have a place I can go to and get this off my chest.

^ Bodies always pick "their ideal weight" and then you will see that you bounce around there give or take a few pounds. I realized that my body has hit its point once it is VERY hard to put on or loose weight over 5 pounds.

Thanks, Megs, for your words of reassurance. I have worked so hard to lose all this weight, and I never want to be overweight again. The thought of gaining weight scares the hell out of me! I just have to keep telling myself that everything will be alright as long as I stick to the plan. However, it definitely helps to hear from someone else who has worked hard to maintain a weight loss.
