I have been losing weight recently, but my belly is still really flabby. After 2 babies, I think my abs are shot! What exercises can I do to get rid of my belly fat/loose skin? I probably could use a bit of liposuction, but that is not an option right now. Thanks!

You can't spot fat reduce. Doing ab exrcsises will tone the muscle up but that is UNDERNEATH the flab so it won't really make a big difference. I would suggest HITT cardio to lose the fat

It is true that only cardio and general fat reduction will reduce tummy fat. If you have loose skin, it will still be there, even if there is no fat underneath it. Ab exercises will tone the muscle underneath and help you present a flat mid-section under clothing if the layer of fat isn't too big. And it seems almost counter-intuitive, but yoga exercises for the back (cobra and locust, for example) can really help to improve posture and make a person's midsection appear flatter.

Pilates is great for strengthening the muscles underneath the skin, and I also love Physique 57- which is a great butt, legs, and core workout.

Like others said though, try cardio as well to burn off the fat.

Keep watching what you eat and google planking and CXWorks!! Building strength on those muscles is going to help with the flab!

If your ab muscles are covered by a layer of fat, then all the toning exercises in the world aren't going to make much difference. You need to do cardio to burn fat. With that said, you probably also have some excess skin and no amount of toning and/or exercise can tighten skin.

As others have said, you really can't spot reduce so your best bet is to up your cardio and start working on strengthening your core.

I'd also like to add, in my experience reducing the ammount of carbs I eat makes me less bloated and has had a definite flattening effect on my tummy.

Also, don't just focus on the abdominals but also remember your oblique, the side muscles that really help to slim down the waistline

best way to loose all over body fat is HIT -High Intensity Training. A mix of cardio and weights.

-also cut out all white breads from diet, and sugary foods and drinks.

I have not used an exercise ball. Do you do sit ups on it?

Great suggestion -- thanks! I do still eat a fair amount of carbs (whole wheat pasta, reduced-fat Triscuits). Maybe I'll try cutting back and see if that helps.

I didn't know that -- thanks for the tip!

Thank you for the info! I haven't had white bread for almost 12 years and I cut soda out of my diet back in January. I do still drink juices and I have the occasional dessert, but I don't over do it.

Planking is the best! I just read something about it at a site about diet solutions, then researched more about it. It's the best one i think for those who just had babies. Since the body is a little heavy. It's really the fitted one to do. Just do it. 30 secs, 60 secs, then 90 secs. Do it every other day and get ready to get results.
