Slow, steady weight loss is best for keeping the pounds off. It's recommended that you lose no more than 1-2 pounds per week. Quick weight loss and drastic diet plans can lead to a yo-yo like cycle, which has you losing and gaining the same pounds over and over again.

That's perfectly normal. If you lost one pound per week, that would put you at four pounds a month. It's not always going to be like that. Some weeks are better than others if you're trying to lose weight. Are you recording what you eat daily, counting calories, etc? Remember, you must create a caloric deficit to lose weight. One pound = 3500 calories. You must create a deficit of 3500 calories to lose one pound per week. If you want to lose two pounds, the deficit must be 7000.

Slow and steady definitely wins the race when it comes to weight loss!
