help! need advice!

i have a pimple on the side of my nose and it hurts i have no idea what to do with it since i hardly ever get pimples maybe about less than a handful of times in my life time. i'm 19 and this is the first pimple i got that hurts and its bugging me. is there any way to make it go away. i know it isn't good to pop them and i'm terrified of needles so i know i won't pop them. i heard of steaming the pimple a couple times a day? should i wait it out a couple more days and see if it goes away? any advice?

If the tip of the pimple is white, then just go ahead and pop it. You don't need to use a needle, just use your fingers. Make sure you get most of the blood out too so it won't end up bruising. Then wash the area and dab some acne ointment on it. It should go away within a few days. I usually get pimples on my forehead, and thats about it. It might take longer for it to go away if you just leave it alone. Good luck, you'll be okay either way!

^^ thanks for the quick reply but i think the whole pimple is white. yeah and i tried (i have no clue on how to pop a pimple) popping it but i fear pain.

^^ You can try softening it up by either steaming or by dampening a towel with warm/hot water and gently pressing on it. Then, gently press open with your fingers. If it's painful, it's not ready to pop. Just try the warm/hot towel compresses a few times. Once it pops, gently cleanse the area.
