I've been trying to improve my overall health/fitness level and have found www.sparkpeople.com to be tremendously helpful. You might want to check it out. There is a nutrition tracker that provide healthy recipes as well as helps you monitor your caloric intake etc.

yay!! hiya tooomz :)

today is going good! i did pilates this morning and im planning on going to the gym. i have stuck to my diet, i even have enough calories left for a snack still. i was bad yesterday though, blew my calories way up :( i know that sometimes i will have to give in to the sweet tooth, or i will become a total b*tch :)

Hi I am trying to lose it doing the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred and modifying my eating habits. So far it's working, but slooowly!

-Drink a big glass of water as soon as you wake up. It boosts your metabolism.
-Eat a small meal or snack every 2-3 hours for a total of 5-6 meals a day.
-If you're still hungry after a meal then drink a big glass of water really fast.

well this sucks...i have the funk! BOOO! im still going to stick to my diet and work out, i just feel like pooh. plus these frickin throat drops have 15 calories each...booo x 2!

I just started that today too. I'm about the same weight as you all and trying to lose the same amount and maybe then some after than. I used to be 130lbs in high school because of tennis but have really let myself go while in college. Ughh, way more than just the "freshmen 15". Hope all is going well with everyone and you don't mind me joining in too!

so far so good!!

1st weigh-in 9/07/09 = 185lbs
today's weigh-in 9/14/09 = 170lbs



i kept reweighing myself, i thought it was broken or something was wrong, i stepped off and on like 5 times...and it still said 170. im happy! i just hope it doesn't come back. i couldn't eat much of anything yesterday...i was super sick and nothing would stay down.

Ok, so being a teacher and attempting to diet is so difficult! My "Lunch" times are either 9:45 or 2:30. I have no breaks in between! I cant even drink water during the day bc them I will have to go to the bathroom and I cant! OMG. But...I have gone to the gym every day and walked the dog on the weekends. Down maybe 3 lbs. Have to weigh tomorrow!! I'm gona start the Jillian Micheals...where can I get the videos online?

yeah i did, i wasn't trying to lose that much. i got the stomach flu and couldn't eat for 3 days, or more like couldn't keep anything in me. plus im sure a lot of it was water weight. it was a nice jump start, but now im going to focus on slowly loosing and maintaining it.

and good job laurielou, 3 lbs would be great!! hmmm, so you can't use the restroom at all during school time?
