Default Healthy snack?

Right now I only work at weekends, friday, saturday and sunday night.

So at weekdays, I am up all night and sleep til let's say 1 pm everyday, but that's because I stay up to 3-4 am. Simply because I can't sleep.

I eat my dinner around 4-6 and since I am up so late I always get hungry around 9-12. And then I'll end up eating left overs or candy, chips or whatever I can find.

I know it's not good to eat and my habbits are bad but anyway..do you have a suggestion when it comes to a healthy snack that will fill me up?

Thanks!

Fruit, yoghurt, dried fruit, nuts, seeds.......try and keep it natural. Actually popcorn is good too as long as it's only lightly salted or sugared, not the caramel type stuff

All that fat and suagr could also be the reason why you aren't sleeping. You've got yourself into the habit of sleeping late in the day and staying up late, you need to try and sort your sleeping patterns out. Melatonin is great for this

I have a bad habit of eating candy at night, too... I read an interview with Jennifer Garner in Cosmo once about what she likes to snack on, and she said blueberries with dark chocolate chips. I like the fruit/chocolate combo, and dark chocolate isn't that bad for you, so I usually mix about a teaspoon of dark chocolate chips with some berries or fruits. If I'm going all-out I add some blanched almonds in or something. It's sweet, and the fruit fills me up.

You may also want to try going to bed earlier - it's actually not very good for you to eat consistently in the middle of the night.

Definitely look for all-natural snacks that are low in sugar and salt. However, Mooks is right that you might want to try melatonin to help you get your sleep schedule back to normal. It's very gentle and you can get a low dose of it. Just makes you feel like you are naturally sleepy and ready to go to bed.

those all sound like great snacks for you. The longer you stay up, the more you want to munch.
