Not directly, however when I give blood, they test for HIV amongst other things.

Yep, been tested when pregnant, like the others have mentioned. They also test for syphillis and gonorrhea (sp?) to make sure you don't pass it on to the baby.

I've been tested 3 times due to each of my 3 pregnancies. I actually made my now-DH have a physical and get tested before I slept with him and he respected my wishes and got it done.

I have. I have had tons of blood transfusions and I wanted to be tested just to make sure I was HIV negative.

Yeppers! Once years ago (used condoms but was still paranoid) and during both pregnancies. I wish more people would get tested!

I have been tested many times when I donated blood but I haven't done that is a while because my iron count got too low.

I made my bf get tested because he hates condoms and wanted to stop using them. I got tested at the same time.

I did when I applied for life insurance last year. You can also get an at home kit and send the sample to a lab, where it is tested. Home Access is the only one that's FDA approved and is 99.9% accurate, I believe. You can get them at drugstores or order online. I just found out my ex of over a year was cheating on me as well, so time to do it again for peace of mind.
