I haven't been tested yet, there is no need for me to right now, but I do intend to get tested in the future.

Better safe than sorry.

ditto!

I have had more than one done when I was a small child - I had a blood transfushion before they tested for the AIDS in 1981 (when I was born) and then the reports came out about the blood supply being possibly infeccted with it

i had an HIV test several years ago from planned parenthood and i was so relieved that i was clean. however, i just recently had a blood test for a physical exam and if anything was in my blood, would it show up eventhough that isn't what they were checking?

Don't forget to also get tested for HPV (herpes) you can carry it and never break out.

Yes I have. A negative HIV test was required to obtain a visa to a country where I spent a semester studying.

I got tested, yes. I did it after I found out my ex cheated on me with people he met on the internet. Thank God it was negative.

Edited to add: were your tests done anonymously? Mine was not, although it was free, the people at the hospital wanted my health insurance chip card and took down my name. I cannot access the data stored on my chip card, but I am positive it says I had that test done.

Actually, HPV and Herpes are two different virus. HPV is Human Papilloma Virus. It is still worth getting checked out for though, since some forms of cervical cancer are caused by HPV. Also, it wouldn't be a bad idea to get the HPV vaccine if you don't already have the virus and you are in the appropriate age range for receiving one.

When I left England to immigrate to Australia I had to take an HIV test (I was only 17), but that was it.
