While I was reading over your story you mentioned that you are not going to have kids for a few years, this maybe why your doctor chose to be more conservative in terms of size. You have to remember that the bigger it is, the more invasive it is to the body, it might affect your ability to breastfeed your future child.

i don't think thats wierd. surgery doesn't always go the way you hoped. and often even if the doctor made perfect job it's not a guarantee that you will be happy. it just could be something phsycological like lack of self confidense or... :)

for me it really sounds like there is not that much wrong with your breasts. it sounds more like you have some issues with yourself. i think you should think why you want bigger boobs and is your breast the main thing or is it just something in your head?

i'm not trying to be rude or saying you were mentally ill. i don't want to offence you. :)

I think there are many reasons for wanting bigger breasts that have nothing to do with lack of self confidence or psychological issues.

Before I got my implants, I could never buy a dress. I would put one on and literally be able to grasp a handfull of empty fabric in front where my breasts should have been. I felt unbalance and disproportionate.

Now, my breasts fit my body. And I'm much happier with myself, and in many cases it's easier to find clothes that fit.

Honestly, I understand where the OP is coming from. I wanted to go from a small B cup to a large C or full D. Had I come home after spending all that time and money and recovery time to go just to a small C cup, I'd be upset too! Many surgeons will tell you their opinion of how large or small you should go, and I'm ok with that. I let my surgeon have the final say. But if I'd come out of surgery with a lot less than we'd discussed, I would have had them redone.

^^^I think the OP had a very clear idea of what she wanted (she wanted her breasts to look the way they had when she was BF-ing her daughter), the surgeon did not deliver that look despite being made aware of what the OP wanted and agreeing to do the work and that's about it!
Like Freud said: "sometimes a cigar is just a cigar"... you know?

ETA: My post was in response to ellc's assessment of the OP's situation; I agree with what you said illinirdhd: you pretty much described my situation.

A lot of women who have BA surgery wish they would have decided on a larger size, or had their doctor choose a larger size for them, after the implants have dropped and settled into the "pockets" created for them.

I had my surgery on August 31 of last year, and I first thought they were way too big! But now that it has been almost a year and they're finished dropping and are completely settled, I'm extremely happy that I went with a full "C" rather than the small to medium "C" I was previously considering. They fit my frame perfectly, and I get a lot of surprised looks when I tell people they're not real.

Maybe in a couple of years, "boobie greed" will set in and I'll wish I would have gone up to a "D". But for now, I'm happy with my tatas

Ugh, how disappointing Just FYI, if the Doc claims it is the size you both decided on you are going to have to pay A LOT more than the original surgery. Revision surgery is more expensive. Most Docs charge around $2000 just to TAKE OUT the old implants and then you will have to get new implants as well. I would guess if your original BA was $7500 your revisionary surgery would be $10K or more.......just speaking from experience.

I have had mine redone and it was REALLY expensive.

BTW if your Doc says that is all the "boob" that your body can take, he is probably right. When your boobs got bigger from breastfeeding that only stretches out your actual breast tissue and skin. When you get sub pectoral implants that stretches your pectoral muscles out. If you have insufficient pectoral muscle coverage, then if you went bigger they would not look good and probably be more painful and hard KWIM??

I think you should go to another surgeon. Do you really want this one to work on your boobs a second time? Lol. I know a lot of surgeons sometimes have "corrective surgeries" where they're correcting something from a previous surgery that went wrong, or from a surgery where somehow the client was not satisfied.

Did you have overs or unders? If you had unders, your muscles may be too tight for the surgeon to put in bigger implants. If he had to force in implants too big for your muscles to handle you could get ripples or worse. You can wait until your muscles relax from the implants you have now and get a redo in a couple of years.

I had mine done last year, in the beginning I was hating them but now that they've settled I love them! I'm glad I didn't go any bigger, it would've looked unproportional to my body size.

You should try "implantinfo.com". It is a great website. 350 may be the largest size that could fit under your muscle, even though your breast tissue was stretched after pregnancy. It often takes 2 surgeries to get large implants in, the first set giving your muscle time to stretch. I was a full D all my life and an F when I was pregnant/nursing. My doc said it was a stretch to get 425 CCs in me, making me a very full C/small D. So just because you are huge when pregnant/nursing, doesn't mean implants can get you that big again, at least with the first set. The muscle cannot stretch that much at one time.

Sometimes after you get implants you are larger than you think. I have seen your photo and you look really good. Have you taken a look at yourself in pics? It really helps. The ladies on Implantinfo.com can give you recommendations for good surgeons. Don't just go to the docs that pay to advertise there. I would rather have perky and firm than big! I went in to get "perky" and came out with "huge"! I am only 5'3" and 108 lbs so a full C/small D looks huge on me. You will look younger with perky rather than big and saggy.

i called him and all he kept saying is "this is the biggest your body can handle", whixh i think is completely BS because when i was breastfeeding my boobs went p to a DD which is almost double what they are right now with the implant..
i just feel so jipped i didnt get exactly what i wanted for that amount of money (which i worked so hard for), and now its like i dont want to go spend another 8 grand and have ANOTHER surgery right after this one... but i cant help everytime i look in the mirror now instead of "i hate my boobs im saggy" its "i paid 8grand for small perky boobs?" i cant win ugh ugh ugh! makes me so upset

Okk I have been thinking about having breast implants done for a few years now and I've decided to get it done. Not this year, but very close in the future. I thought that once you got breast implants, (If you're completely satisfied with them), you have your boobs in and you don't have to get any more plastic surgery if you don't want to, (unless something goes wrong) but I guess I was wrong? Then I read that if you get breast implants you'll have to face it that it won't be your last surgery, and you'll have to get them put back in every 10 years or so??? Is that right??? I'm sorry I just don't know which is right. Like basically, once you get the implants will you need another boob surgery every 10 years just to keep those boobs? Anyone understand what I'm saying? I get mixed messages on this. Most people seem to think like, "listen, once you get the surgery done if you're happy with 'em, then that's it and you dont have to get any more breast surgeries if you don't want to." And a few people said, "Yes, you have to have them done again in 10 years." So which is right? LOL

^^^Implants are NEVER a lifetime device unless you get them when you are 90 years old. It is considered "normal" to have them redone every 8-12 years. Any Doc that tells you they are "for life" should not be practicing medicine because that is waaaaayyyyy wrong
