Every person that I know personally who has had the swine flu (at least the doctors here say it is because regular flu season is in January according to them) has been given tamiful. This is for both children and adults. My child has some health problems but they are under control with medication. She was sick this past month with a 8 day cold and then sinus infection but was over them before this. I just don't know how she could be so sick for one day and be fine the next day on......I would think 24 hour bug but she had way too many different symptoms for that.

I was consistently sick for a week and a half with a 103* fever. It fluctuated from 101 to 103 for a good 3-4 days at the very least. And the rest of the days it was 99 to 101. Not to mention the terrible chills, terrible headache, and inflammation of the gums. I cant remember the last time I was so sick! Hope she gets better soon.

I was told i had H1N1 (but not tested) i mostly had chills, fever, sore muscles, and major headaches, and was told to take advil and tylenol together. My symptoms went up and down, just like your daughters!

I'm in the Northeast - talked to my doctor recently. Most family physicians do not and can't test for the swine - just hospitals have the definitive test. The doctor said ALL flu-like illness out there is not the seasonal flu - that hasn't hit yet - it's definitely swine. That's the only strain here. And he said you do NOT need to have a fever to have it, though many do...and high ones at that. If you don't catch symptoms within 48 hours, Tamiflu won't be given - they only give Tamiflu if you are severely ill to conserve is what I was told. Even then, there can be side effects from Tamiflu and it doesn't always work. So most doctors just treat the symptoms - Advil/Tylenol for headaches & fever, nausea meds for nausea, etc. People at his work had vomiting, diarrhea, fever, bodyaches, the works...and were down and out for about two weeks.
My husband got the flu TODAY - He has a fever of 100.8 and climbing, body aches/coughing. It's everywhere right now. I pray that I don't get it, but odds are not good....the only good thing about getting it is hopefully we'll all build immunity for the next time it comes around!!!
