------------------------------------------ so i know this sounds ridiculous, but i genuinely panic over this each month, I am on the nuvaring and also use the pull out method with my boyfriend (at the same time) yet i'm still scared to death at the possibility of getting pregnant... i don't need to worry about STD's since i'v been with him for many years and i'v also been tested last year.... anyways i guess i just need to hear it from others then I really am being ridiculous and to stop worrying. |

Anonymous: i have my own moments of worry... I'm on the pill, and even with that, stress makes my perioud go wonky from time to time....
...but to freak out every month, to the point of having DF pull out? Oh no... what's the point of a monogomous partner & birth control that means I/we don't have to use condoms if he has to pull out? That'd be no fun for either of us. Have you ever had a real pregnancy scare? Would becoming pregnant be that bad? What's got you so scared? Lay those worries to rest, and and reassure yourself that you are taking all the sensible precautions! And just enjoy the sex! Otherwise, a more permanent solution might be considered? (tubes tied?) |

If you're really that worried about getting pregnant, why not look into a long-term form of birth control like an IUD?
While on the ring and using te pull out method, your chances of getting pregnant are pretty darn close to zero.

Since it is the same active ingredients as the pill, I see no reason to pull out. You are on birth control, so you should have no worries. I think I will give it a try.
