Default Feeling disgusting

So I am posting here, because I feel disgusting. Due to the holidays and the break from school I think I have gained weight and I just can't go back to school like this. You know how people are they always notice things like when people gain weight. And it's not just my imagination either, my favorite pair of jeans, which used to be loose on me, are now kind of tight. I don't think anything I wear looks good any more.... I FEEL SO FAT! And my self confidence is just so low right now. What should I do? How do you guys make yourselves feel better when you feel like this?

I feel exactly the same way. Unfortunately, losing weight in a healthy way, and keeping it off, takes some time, so in the meanwhile I'm going to stick to dresses and fabulous accessories

I felt exactly the same untill I actually weighted myself. Then I came to the conclution that I've lost a lot of muscle tissue and become floppy. Which, even though I lost weight, is even worse.

The only thing that makes me feel better when this happens is diet & exercise & slowly getting back to wear your jeans feel the way they should!
I'm having the same issue after the holidays - yuck.

I can empathize with this as too much holiday food + not enough exercise and even my loosest jeans are feeling a little snug.

BUT just get back to your regular eating & exercising and I'm sure your weight will normalize back to what it used to be!

I feel the same way! You are not alone...I have definitely gained a few pounds over my holiday break from school, and it seems like I always gain weight when I am on any kind of break from my regular routine. I would recommend cutting yourself a break since the holidays just passed since many people gain weight at this time of year. Don't be so hard on yourself. I sometimes get low self-esteem from this kind of weight gain and I try not to get in a cycle of feeling bad then eating more, then feeling even worse for eating more! When I go back to school I get back into a regular schedule that helps me eat better and snack less. Hopefully this is what will happen with you, and remember, don't get so down on just a few pounds! You'll get back on track in no time!

I've put on maybe 7-10lbs in the past month, and I fear it'll be more because, for some reason, during the winter I crave junk food. I can't blame it all on the holidays, I want donuts and french fries everyday, and I eat so much more too. I don't know why this happens, during the summer I never get these random cravings.
I feel your pain, OP.

look at actress Nikki Blonsky... she knows she is overweight but she has embraced it. she wasn't always a successful actress but now she is and i think we should take that as a sign that the typical "supermodel" image isn't the REAL image of women.

i feel gross too. a lot. always. i try hard not to but i can't help it! i weight about 20 pounds more than i want to and cannot seem to win the battle of eating healthy. i enjoy exercise but it's a very slow process...esp if you don't eat right because then you have to work twice as hard :(. i bought these cute jeans about 4 months ago and they were snug but i knew they would loosen and now i can't even wear them because it is just embarrassing. my jeans that practically fell off me are now snug. it's just depressing! i'm trying to be better but when all you can afford is peanut butter sandiwches and grilled cheese it's hard :( (i have lots of cheese in my house and 4 lbs of peanut butter. and i can get bread for 80pence)

absolutely love nikki blonsky. she's got a new movie coming out on lifetime. It's about an overweight high school outcast finding out she's nominated for homecoming court haha. i think it fits right in with the whole perception of beauty and self-image theme. saturday at 9. can't wait!

I'm definitely all about embracing yourself, but just make sure to not get complacent with being unhealthy. When I see someone who is overweight (not like has a little muffin top but like actually obese), I can't help but think of all the medical conditions they may have. I've always been the 'big one' in my family even though I'm not fat. My sis called me amazon woman when I grew up. Now I look at my high school pictures and hate that I used to think I was fat when I was in super duper shape. So now when I get to feeling big, I just try to rationalize and realize that I am a hottie. I also think I need to start buying my clothes a little bigger. I don't know why I insist on squeezing into a size smaller than I am lol

You're so not alone. I feel exactly the same way! I'm going back on track next week. That means following my Weight Watchers meal plan and working out.

I put on some weight over the break as well. I think it happens to all of us! We are eating and enjoying time with our friends and families rather than working out. After Christmas and New Year's my sexy jeans did not fit, and my stomach was all bloated. Nothing looked good on me. Luckily I got back on track and the jeans fit again. So just tell yourself to get back to exercising and eating healthy, and things will get back to normal before you know it!
