Default Fat grafting or tummy tuck?

I am 5'9" and weigh 120-125 pounds. I am conscious about my diet and don't eat unhealthy food. I am skinny everywhere except my tummy & flanks, it is so bad that I always get asked if I'm pregnant. My body has always been this way even before the kids and I think it is hereditary. I have 2 kids, in mid 30's and don't plan on having any more kids. I am very active with work, kids, housework etc.
I don't excercise regularly because I've noticed that when I excercise I'm losing whatever remaining fat in others areas such as hands, butt, boobs, face etc more than my tummy.

I'm leaning towards surgical options(such as tummy tuck) but I'm very scared of this whole thing. I've been reading everywhere and came across fat grafting(http://www.betterbuttocks.com/better...ofatphotos.htm). It looked ideal for me as I can get the fat taken away from my tummy and would like to get it injected in my butt. Two birds in one shot . It looks too good to be true and also I didn't see anyone mention it here.

What are your thoughts? What am I missing? Did anyone go through this procedure? Is it permanent?

I know I'm asking lot of questions but please fill me in.

Thanks a lot.

I'm no expert, but would expect that if the skin on your stomach is good (ie- not stretched and saggy, still firm) and your stomach muscles were not separated by your pregnancies, then you won't need a tuck; and some lipo (or this grafting procedure) would suffice. I think you need to see a surgeon.

Go and talk to a reputable surgeon and he can examine and tell you the best procedure for your body.

hi there

i'm in exactly the same scenario as you, but i'm just a bit younger.

i've been researching on it since last year. Let me tell you something it's NOT EASY!!

I guess you are asian right..

I have hereditary stubborn mid section fat as well, but skinny everywhere else. just like you.

1st off, we think we have enough fat, but actually you need A LOT fat to FG, we feel we have enough when compared to rest of our body. It is really not b/c 40% will reabsorb at least, if reabsorbed EVENLY... there really won't be much left. I was told by many doc that I need to gain at least another 8 pounds to 20 pounds, which is ridiculous and I don't want the fat to go on my face. I'm asian so I tend to gain weight on my face.

I don't post on this forum often, don't know how to pm you either. leave me your email or something

Go for a consult. My GF went for one for a tummy tuck - she's got extra skin not really any extra fat. It was going to be close to 8K and it was a lot more involved than she thought it would be. She hasn't decided yet. Best to talk to a professional.

Thank you ladies!

I have some loose skin on my tummy from my pregnancies but it's mostly fat. I can live with the loose skin and am scared of surgery so I'm hoping lipo/FG will work for me. FG looked less invasive and I could really use the fat else where in my body .

I will consult a professional but want to see if anyone here has done it .
