You can do it, bnjj! Stay on track, and don't let eating out a few extra times get you down. You can pick up right where you left off!

*dusts off thread*

Well, I wasn't doing so well there for a while but I am back with a vengeance.

I started the new year off with a major life change - I chose to become a vegetarian. This is something I have been thinking of doing for quite some time as I have never been much of a meat eater other than chicken anyway. I would rarely buy ground beef for spaghetti sauce or tacos/taco salads or chili but more often would buy veggie ground round for those anyway. I never bought beef or pork roasts, pork chops, or steaks. I rarely bought bacon or ham. All I ate was a bit of chicken and a bit of fish and when I would think of how chicken are treated in the food chain I would have an increasingly hard time eating them. So, I decided to give up the little chicken and fish I was eating.

I will still be logging my daily food into Weight Watchers Online and tracking my protein to make sure I am getting enough.

I did not gain any weight over the holidays and as of today am down 3.6lbs since last Wednesday but my official WI day is not until this coming Wednesday so it only really matters what the scale says then.

Today's meals:

B - water w/ lemon, coffee w/ cream, oatmeal
L - egg beaters & veggie omelet w/ part skim mozza, cup of herbal tea

dinner will probably be potato and veggie tikka masala and brown rice
snacks will be fruit, cheese string and almonds

Wow, good for you. Congrats on your decision to become a vegetarian. I really only eat chicken and fish, but I don't think I could give them up. The way chickens are treated grosses me out too, but the fish is my favorite. Good luck to you. I know you can do it.

I forgot to come back to this thread last Wednesday and post my WI results. I was down 3.6lbs. and that was with my period.

So far this week am down another couple pounds but it really will only matter what the scale says come Wednesday.

I'm still debating about joining the Y as I want to be sure I will use it before signing up.

Down another 2.2lbs this week. I have been down this amount for the past several days so I was hoping to see even a little bit more of a drop this morning at WI but overall am happy with a 2.2lb loss.

*dusts off thread once again*

Life took a major turn for the worse early in 2009 and I completely neglected this thread.

I have now lost almost 40 lbs and today I fit into SIZE 10 jeans and a top I bought last Thursday is a MEDIUM not XL!!!! Holy Cannoli! It has to be at least 5 years since I was a size 10. When I started this weightloss journey I was in a very snug 14, pushing 16 and I was not so happy about that.

I still have a way to go but I can taste being a size 6 again.
