I like the red one too but I really hate white washed wood.... I think it's just too... I don't know too snobby or formal for an everyday living room. I can Imagine the dogs just loving to naw on the red one. I might have to pick my battles and let him get the red chair... our debate over an entertainment stand is coming up really quick and I'm very opinionated on that subject. LOL

On the scarves note....The Golden Bear has Love quotes scarves on sale for $21.25 I think I might have to pick one up. Here is a link for all that are interested:

My DH and I are in the middle of a feud right now. We are looking at side chairs for our living room. My DH loves french country design and I'm more of a Minimalist Nappa Valley design lover. Here are the 2 chairs we are fighting over..
I like the one of the left and he like the one on the right

hmmmmm......
I like both chairs, but in order to make a more INFORMED response, what is in the rest of the room???
I too am the minimalist, but sometimes a "foil" in the room adds more interest to the "tableau"......

ah yes....the axiom...."pick your battles".....

our marital relationship has a feature known as "veto power"......for any reason, one may exercise the veto. We both HAVE to agree on furnishings - thus, that's why it took a year to get some dang furniture into our newly remodeled home.......
advice: take your time.......

Here are some elements of our room... And YES A DUDE PICKED THIS WALLPAPER LOL but I got my orla kiely wallpaper in the bathroom. :) So I'm dealing with the Mind-numbingly trippy wallpaper. He is also trying to talk me into this sofa from anthro. I think we have a perfectly good leather couch already. We haven't stained the door yet cuz we still haven't really decided on wood colors.

*edit* We have barn wood floors underneath the carpet in a rich mahogany stain. which we just had done... The carpet stays until we have all the other elements completed. They are not tacked in place

I am being pretty good. I now have only 2 items on my wishlist (well, besides HH Fall stuff). And I'm waiting until/if they go on sale.

Another Built by Wendy dress. I love it, although the navy Yoko might replace this.

And another pair of Matt Bernson sandals, diff style (I have the brown gladiators). I swear, those things are like wearing velvet slippers. I kid you not. They are starting to make all my other sandals feel like cardboard boxes on my feet.

lulu - no question, I like the one on the left. I'm not a fan of white distressed finish. I like the clean lines and neutral upholstery and finish -- it will compliment, not fight with, your wallpaper.

Hoping to have a mosaique hobo by the end of the year. Might be hard since there are only 50 of each color... One or two mercer cuffs would make me very happy too.
Been working on a mental birthday wishlist...
A Herve Ledger dress
YSL Tributes
Dior Extreme Gladiator Pumps (so last year, but I still want them, lol)
Aaaand... New computer, guitar, keyboard...

After seeing pics of the color, I totally want a Bal Day in Raisin - can't decide if I want regular hardware, GS or Covered though - - I hated the new covered hardware when I first saw pics but IRL it's kinda cool with the perfs/zigzags (whatever you call them).

So here is the skinny on what we ended up doing:
We ordered the new leather couch
We ordered the chair on the left (the neutral one)
We also ordered the chair on the right in Olive green for our bedroom or to switch out if the other one doesn't work So In 3 weeks when they all arrive I'll have to take some pics. On to entertainment stand hunting... This one is going to take some time...I doubt I'm going to talk him into the Art Easel tv stand which I really want

lulu I think it's cool that your DH gets into choosing stuff for your house. That sounds like fun, despite any disagreements LOL!!! My DH could truly care less as long as he can recline in front of the TV LOL...
