UGGHHH....HH CS did it again !!!

Another disappointment from HH !! I keep ordering...then telling myself to never order again...then falling in love and ordering again !! When will I learn !!
My lastest order received yesterday prompted me to send the following letter. I am absolutely sure that I will not receive a response, but wanted to share. I hope that my order was a 1 time thing with CS, but then again, HH CS over the past 5-6 yrs is hit and miss.

""""HH Customer Service, I recieved order #, UPS delivery on 7/31/2012. The items sent (not all items ordered) came in a rather large box, just tossed around during shipment. There was tissue laid in the box, but actually "packed for shipping", the items were not. Nothing arrived damaged, but shows that the pickers were either frantically shipping orders, or pickers did not care.

What I REALLY did not like about my recent order ? The PACKING SLIP was still attached to the shipping label for ALL to see the contents during shipment. Thank goodness, I was able to recieve the package from UPS as soon as it arrived. The ship label says on the first line of instructions to "put inside shipping box".

Hayden Harnett Customer Service has left me a very apprehensive customer over the past yrs. I feel that with each order, I am taking a risk of some sort, either by my paying to return defective items or returning items and not recieving proper credit. I have even been contacted in the past several times by email to "clear things up", with no response afterwards !! This time, its showing the world what I have ordered....

I keep ordering, hoping for consistency. Hayden Harnett styles are Chic and for the most part, really well made for the price.....I just keep falling in love every season and hoping you guys can come through.""""

Good grief. Everything in the box was listed on the outside for the world to see?! WTH?

my order had the packing slip on the outside also I figured it was a mistake, but apparently it was not.

that is so weird. I mean I already hate when place put their names on the tape or the boxes like MyHabit but to have the items and maybe the prices listed? ick.

emi1-- so, I'm not the only one. Goodness me !! Maybe we can all team up and send HH CS letters of disappointment -- maybe they will figure out their wrong doings......

Mine also had the packing slip on the top!

I'm still upset about the shipping delay, 5 days(and after I contacted them to cancel the order). The good news is that my order finally arrived and everything is perfect.

They did not list the prices on the packing slip. Actually what I found strange was their way of communicating. The email receipt after the order did not have the items listed, just total price. I can't think of any other company that sent me a confirmation email without including items ordered, price per item, shipping address and total price. The shipping confirmation came the day the box was delivered. What is the purpose of it if it comes after the delivery? At that point, I don't need it.

I certainly agree that their NEW way of doing business is so strange.
1. Who is this Silverman guy ?? Shouldn't the confirmation email state Hayden Harnett?? I almost sent the email unopened into my spam/junk box !
2. Confirmation did not include the items ordered either.....but did give me the total.
The total of my origional order, not a total of order after they cancelled items.
3. Tracking information sent the day I received, too !
4. Inappropriate labels on the ship box. Contents of the package listed on the OUTSIDE of the package.
5. Items not packaged appropriately for shipment. Tissue paper in the box, but what for? Items just shuffled around during shipment...whats up with that?
6. Still no response to the complaint email...but, I will be surprised if I get one.

If their bags weren't so darn good looking, I would call it quits for good. I called it quits several times before, I guess I'm a glutten for punishment.

It is going to be an interesting ride with the so-called restructure of Hayden Harnett.
I am so glad I have stockpiled over the years, since this may be my last order of the Origional Hayden Harnetts. Such a shame, Toni is such a talented lady ! to sell out and have her core followers be treated like this.

The saga continues......

I cannot complain about the packaging because the items I got were big and filled the box. The bags themselves were wrapped in tissue, all hardware protected, handles protected with plastic, and the whole tissue wrapped bag placed in a big plastic bag.

I like HH too much to give up on them yet...we'll see in the future.

Hah. Interesting. The old website though it mentioned shipping confirmation in the TOS didn't actually send shipping confirmations. You'd have to monitor the page you'd get to with your order number to see if things shipped.

Actually, you are right. I do stalk the website for updates of shipping. I have to pull up the order for updates or else it just lets me know "processing"...I do have to give HH werbsite kudos for that. Some of the other sites I order from will not go that far with updates.

I went crazy with the last sale. I placed several orders. The last one just came in.

1. The packing slip was folded under the ship label. Yea !

2. The box with tissue was appropriate for the contents.

3. The Black Patent Pilot I ordered came without a HH tag attached, no protective plastic over the Hayden Harnett plate on the front, and........a VERY pretty color of Elizabeth Arden lipstick !

If there are any TPFers out there missing their lipstick, let me know, free shipping to you from Oregon

I haven't worn Elizabeth Arden since the '80's..lol. I wonder if anyone will fess up.....

Oh yeah....I remember T-H-E S-O-C-K-S Ben ordered for his "special lady". Hmmm...
I'm checking the box again, just maybe.....
