Just an update - too lazy for photos. The bag has been kept dry and so far the color is holding. The fabric where the magnet is did finally tear though. If anyone is looking at a used cotton canvas one I'd ask about any wear there. My bag was particularly abused though and the rest of it is holding up fine. I think the magnet isn't really that useful anyway. The fish mouth can be a bit annoying too - makes it hard to cram a six pack in.
