LOL, reminds me of when I crimped my hair once (long in the past). I thought I'd look like a wild child...but, one look at the crazy lady in the mirror, and out it went.

The wyeth in like an oxblood would be OFF THE CHARTS! My dreams are going to haunted now... should not have thought of that. Also, a washed coral or true eucalyptus wouldn't be bad, either.

Yeah, crimping should definitely be ruled a controlled practice. Only pros and only for fashion shows and shoots.

Just wanted to say hello - I've been lurking for a few weeks since I first discovered HH on a quest for the perfect work bag. I wanted to thank you all for your pictures and reviews - it made ordering my Emile tote (ruby) sight-unseen a much less stressful experience! I think there are a few fellow Canadians on the forum who can relate to the customs/tax issues involved in returns! I wanted to be sure I would love her...and I do, of course. This could be the start of a serious addiction!

Thanks again for the great posts.

Welcome, kingston! Customs and dealing with returns for us Canadians definitely suck... but fortunately there's a wealth of information available online for those of us who have to be slightly more discerning. In fact, I can't wait for when threads start rolling in with everyone's pictures of Spring bags!

Does anyone know what colors the Havana will be available in for Spring/has this been discussed elsewhere?

Yay, kingston, and welcome! I got the ruby Emile too. Isn't she a beauty?

Thanks for the warm welcome!

The Emile is definitely lovely, although the unfinished leather seems fragile to me. I'm still a bit nervous after getting some dreaded jean transfer on the back! It isn't too bad, but it made me a bit jumpy. I caved to the cordovan Sonia tote during Secret Santa, and it seems a bit more rugged (although mine has some of the mismatching that others have experienced in the Cordovan - can't complain because of the serious deal though).

Not to distract completely from the topic of this thread, I have my eye on something in gray from the spring offerings. Maybe a clutch - affordable, and you can't have too many of those...

I sprayed my Emile with a rain and stain protectant, which I'm hoping will do the trick.

I'll do that. Seems to be what the HH folks suggest on their website. (Confession: I loved it so much I ordered one in yam as well since I was afraid the design wouldn't stay around for the spring...yam is even worse for stains, I think, so I'll be out back with the rain and stain quite a bit in the next few weeks!)

kingston, when you get a chance, read the thread on care of your HH Care of your Hayden Harnett Stormy Heart, our resident leather maven, addresses the issues for all of the HH leathers. Although it is one of the most beautiful HH leathers, Yam is one of the most stain prone.
