I don't know the exact steps but it is a tedious process. I would go ahead and file a claim with your credit card company immediately. Don't wait for eBay/PP to play out.

I was so shocked when I saw that first picture I had to show it to my husband. Who does that? Anyway, I hope you get your money back, darlin. What a shame!

Nikki..IMHO..I would call my CC company and find out how to procede with this and if there is a timeframe for filing a CC dispute. I don't trust Paypal. I've had to file with my CC company three times when PP did nothing.

This is what happened to me with the Salina that was in the same condition as yours Nikki, plus it stank of perfume..and had crumbs inside..it was described as BNWOT.

I filed a claim with Paypal and dealt with ebay too...they did nothing. I then filed with my CC company. As soon as I did that, I got an email from PP CS which informed me that they closed my case because I filed a dispute of the charge with my CC company, which was blatantly untrue because they closed my case before I resorted to filing the dispute and claim.

It was so convoluted that I still don't understand exactly what happened. The seller claimed she refunded me through Paypal but nothing showed in my account. Paypal closed the dispute but didn't say why..and then claimed it was because I filed with my CC company. I never got an answer from them no matter whom I spoke to.

Then the seller claimed she didn't get the bag even though she had relisted it and resold it (I had copies of the auction and all her emails) and I had her signature on the delivery slip.

It took me from December until March to get this resolved. Paypal was useless, ebay was useless..and the CC company made me jump through hoops to get my money back. But I documented everything, emailed through ebay only..and proved she was a liar and a thief..and then she had nerve to dispute my negative feedback by saying I filed a claim after she refunded my money and I was too picky about my bags! This is one time when I was happy that a seller couldn't file negative feedback..because it would have been retaliatory!

So..do everything you have to do..and don't give up..and keep records of everything..and give her the worst feedback you can..I swear I feel like telling you to ask a notary to sign the photos to prove that this is how you got it...LOL

If you are required to return the bag to her, put it in a plastic bag, and put that it in a box (take photos)..so that she doesn't claim it was damaged in the return trip..and get a signature on delivery..NOT just delivery confirmation.

ITA...a moment of silence for this abused but still lovely purse..and pursecution of the byatch who maliciously caused it pain and suffering.

XOXO

So sorry to hear of your toubles, Nikki! There's just nothing worse than jumping through Paypal/Ebay Hoops and trying to make sense of an unscrupulous ebayer. Hope it gets resolved soon and that you don't loose too much sleep over it!

Thanks everyone for your help and support! I swear they make it so confusing so you don't understand enough to follow through with a claim or dispute. I am so not picky. When you are expecting a bag in great shape and then get one that was in the middle of a vicious cat fight it is upsetting! I actually considered trying to make do when I first got it. I realized that there is no way with those holes that I could keep it.

Wow! I just looked up that auction and the seller makes no mention of damage! That really sucks! I would file a credit card dispute as ebay and paypal take forever to conclude these disputes and you never know what they will decide.

^^Hi! Another Michigander in da house!!!! I just escalated my claim. So, even if I paid with paypal I should contact my CC company that I used too?

I wouldn't, not yet anyway. I've gotten refunds for both disputes I filed. I'd give ebay time to resolve in your favor. If they don't (which I'm pretty sure they will) then file a chargeback with your cc issuer.

Quizshow,Did you get the one on ebay last week that was about $80.00? It had ink stains inside.

Yeah, I got trigger happy. It's not too bad, the waterstains are just worse in real life than it seemed in the pictures. I'll give it a good cleaning and make do. The ink stain is the only problem with the interior...very clean other than that one spot. It's a beautiful bag but it's a lot smaller than indicated from other TPF descriptions.

You may want to send to bagborroworsteal.com. They fixed a few bags for me & they do an awesome job of making them look new again. I was close to buying it too.
