hi, there-

the bardot is a "finished" lamb leather, so it really doesn't need any type of spray protection. i, seriously, wear mine everywhere in all types of weather...it just gets more soft and smooshy as it ages. the leather is very dirt and stain resistant.

just a note: we have 3 new styles of leather outerwear coming in November and they are 100% GREAT! i've been wearing our angelika leather vest everywhere and getting mucho compliments. i love how it's perfect to layer over anything, quite warm, and seriously rock and roll, but elegant somehow. 2 new boot styles are coming too! the madeleine riding boot and the zelda zipper boot...i've been testing mine and have not taken them off. i'm so spoiled! they're really gorgeous and comfy.

We'd have to ask for a deposit, and it could take over a month to make. If enough people were interested knowing all that, then we could start working on it.

Haha, guess what my two bespokes would be? I'm excited about this. VERY excited. I'd do it, I'd find the $$ somewhere, that's for sure.
we've done a few bespoke bags...it gets tough when we are in the middle of designing a collection, but i'm open to talk about what you want. we're trying to come up with a better way to grow the bespoke business as i think it's a supercool thing to offer our fans!

a few things i can answer tonight:
-YES, it's true...two of your favorite HH styles are being brought back to life for fall'09 (because you asked for them!) and will be better than ever. i'm not sure if i want to ruin the surprise or not, so i think i'll wait a bit longer to spill the beans.
-for spring'09, the havana is coming in a nice warm orange color we call "ginger"...it's really fantastic!
-no yellow for this spring'09, but i'll see what i can do to remedy your color requests :)
-THANK YOU SO MUCH!! seeing such great posts and interest in what we design makes me so so so happy...ben and i really appreciate all the love, support, and constructive criticism. this is the best feedback we could ever hope for.

I'm excited about the orange, and it's so cool that you're considering a shade of yellow as an option!
We're certainly happy to help, not that you guys seem to need it, you are a rocking pair!! Everything you put out is lightyears ahead of the rest, just fantastic - and I think I speak for all the girls here when I say we all appreciate your temendous work!! So thank you :)

TONI !! Thanks for dropping by ! Are you surprised we all found each other ?
We have a lot of wishes on the History of Havana thread, and need your input over there because we have been putting it together like a puzzle. You never knew it would be so famous, but we get it. (I still need a distressed Bronze Havana) Ginger sounds divine ~ you really have great instincts !
We love our bags so much that we try to keep them nice and I have been doing my best to help. Some of your originals are still valued at full retail and even higher !
(tPF can tell you what has reached ICON/Collector's status) This proves you are on the right track, & we are right here with you.
(About the spilling of beans ~ I'm hoping they are magic Lima beans )
The Wyeths especially are brilliant this season; you are hitting all the right notes ! It's fun observing the evolution of H-H !
I hope you grab another chance to visit us soon,
Stormy

Toni/Ben....
Thanks for taking the time to be here - it means THE WORLD to us HHHO(TTIES).

Oh pleeze - don't "spill the beans"....I love surprises!

I must admit - I have more clothing/accessories from HH than bags and am looking to fill my closet with more goodies......it makes me so happy to wear my HH gems.

mlinky and I are actually cleaning out our closets and taking items to consignment stores to make room!

by the by - thanks for changing your return process - it will be easier to order shoes/boots (especially) and clothing knowing that the return shipping will be gratis!

I also appreciate your coming and joining us crazed HH fans, Toni and Ben! Love the sound of ginger for the Spring. And leather boots and coats! Can't wait. Not sure whether I have more HH bags or more HH clothing/accessories... hmmm...!
