Hello all, this is my first post but I've been an avid lurker for ages. I scored a HH black Bowery clutch on Ebay & was so pleased when I received it today I went ahead & hit the sale. HH is hard to come by in the U.K. other than Ebay so I went a little over the top on the sale....

1 pilot wristlet in tan crinkle patent (for my Mum), 1 patent violet stripe luggage tag, (mine, Wahey!), 1 Lido Quilted Wallet, Goldrush (part of Mum's Xmas) and in a moment of weakness a Tharpe Hobo in Black. Someone please reassure me I shouldn't worry about this one. I've always liked the look of it but obviously haven't seen it in real life

Oh, and do they have another sale later in November at Thanksgiving?!

Good to know about the quality, thanks! I actually had some quality issues last year with the leaves pastis frame bag--the clasp has loosened and the inner pocket stitching is coming undone.

But I'm going to go check out those travel bags at anthro.

Emmy_uk:

I love the tharpe hobo. Last night, I was deciding between the Tharpe and the Havana both in Ruby. I ended up getting the Havana, since I don't have one yet and I've been eyeing them for a few months. No need for regrets, I say.

Ooh, I saw that and what a lovely colour, india! I'd love to see that colour revived. Would have wanted that myself if I hadn't purchased the oyster passport cover a little while ago.

Emmy, you're going to love the Tharpe! I got one in Yam over the summer and it's really stunning in person. The leather feels so soft yet durable at the same time, and I LOVE all the different pockets/compartments - they keep me organized. I get so many compliments, and you will too.

As for another sale, well I'm assuming they'll have an end-of-season blowout but they seem to be pretty unpredictable with these things. Anyone care to make a prediction? My guess is early next year, when they're getting ready to roll out the spring 09 collection. Until then, possibly some 15 to 20% discount codes over e-mail... just my guess.

Regarding those travel bags at Anthropology they are indeed nice. I was eyeing the non-HH Chintz leather duffel on the same page before deciding it's too girly and found it cheaper elsewhere. I know it's not HH but here's the link for a better price if anybody was looking at that particular travel bag. http://www.luggage.com/asp/show_deta...id=MP52-ZA1284

I'm really enjoying this thread and living vicariously through your purchases! Wow, Marcel and Clara are gettin' some action!
Glad that there are Loupe takers as well since the price is GREAT - maybe the lowest ever?
It's totally adjustable BUT you have to knot it around a bit for it to stay....!

As for next sale.....who knows??? One NEVER knows w/HH.......
Honestly, did we have one around Thanksgiving????
Trust us....they are not predictable and do not adhere to a typical "retail" model w/their sales! Gotta love 'em!

Can't wait to get it - I am considering retiring my pocket pc and just being old fashioned and only going w/my cell - but I still need some type of 'folder' to hold things - and this is perfect. When I get my plum Inka back out it will match perfectly - LOL.

The IVOTED08 code isn't working - anyone else have problems?

Ignore that - I forgot it was for $250 plus.

I got the Celina Cuff in Ruby and the Mercer glasses case in black!

I will do - will also include in the family portrait the plum carryall. Oooo... what an idea you've given me ... Our recent most excellent HHHRAOK reveals have given me ideas of grandeur...
