It's been years since I lived in NY (grad school/poor) but having these works of art takes me right back... I can almost smell the burnt hotdogs and the particular smell of the 4/5/6 line to the Village... So here's a few pics of the bags (gulp!) modeled.

FAB post HOTTIE!
What a great collection.....after I got the Harlequin cases at the last sale I was bitten and actually searched for the Beatrice in this combination!
I love it how you have such different items and your photos are just great - esp. like your "Lorca necklace" LOL
Glad that they are bringing back great memories for you!

I watched the Corc in khaki during HH's last blowout and this SS... and kept sitting on the fence. At the last hour -with 1 remaining - I took a chance and bought it. Like the Sloane blueberry, it said it was a final sale, so I felt I was a big time gambler. Wow, am I glad I ordered it. Of the 3, it is my fave and will probably become my day bag "grab-and-go" (shelved at the front door, alongside my Cole Haan Convertible Tote in Raisin). In no way does the khaki patent look like the HH site pics. It is not a "beige-ish" khaki (which is why I hesitated so long). It is not a dark tan either (as posts have said in this forum). Maybe mine is a sample colorway, because it is a beautiful light golden olive color. LUV. LUV. LUV.

The Sloane and the Tharpe are beautiful leather and I like them, but I have to say I probably won't use them as much because they are smaller than they appeared on the site. And, smaller than the dimensions looked like when I blocked them off in paper and measuring tape before I ordered. I see why you HH hotties like modeling pics to get more of a real-life sense of scale. Both the dark-haired model they use and the model in the street pics must be quite petite and fine-framed. The sloane looked huge on both. To me, it is more of a medium-sized satchel.

I am posting shots of just the bags for now. Later I will post with my sister modeling. She is 5'7" and a size 12. I won't post with me modeling, because it would be very confusing to judge size of any bag for most average-sized people. Unless we have a lot of 5'10", 300 lb HH hotties needing a size comparison, I will refrain from modeling. Most bags look quite petite on me.

A coworker carries that little Dooney barrel bag with the hearts on it. She left from a meeting to lunch one day, and asked me to bring it along with me. What a hoot. You should have seen how that litlle bitty bag looked on my wrist (far as it would ride). One "newbie" at work said "I didn't know you had a little girl". I don't think I have carried a bag that small since I was in kindergarten. And, yes, from 3 years old on, I never left home without my handbag. Loved them even then.

Fantastic post.....just love gettin' reading all of these stories/details about purchases and you take great photos!!!
I think there are many of us who were tempted/intrigued by your patent Corcovado and now we know why - we're so happy that you really did score BIG TIME w/this one.
I love the Blueberry color - it looks so rich.
Indeed - gettin' action shots are so important and thanks for having your sis model for us.....
BUT - as others have said....HOTTIES come in all shapes/sizes/colors, etc!
Welcome and thanks for such a great post!!

Ms. Liz!!! It's beautiful! Don't you love it! I am dying to see you modeling it. Oh man, I am not a black bag person, but a black patent Corcovado could change my thinking. Simply elegant!

Okay, now I know what I might end up getting with my HH store credit once I return the Martine Jacket (it's on it's way tomorrow)....a Conrad!

What a smart looking bag! Very business-like yet with an edge. I even like the yam color. Paula, you absolutely have to model all these beauties!

Which is your favorite of the three?

Thanks Cho and Cindy!! I promise to do some modellign shots.

It's a hard choice Cindy, and like you I was NOT a patent leather person...but I LOVE the Corcovado!....I also really love the Conrad and the leather is sooooo nice. I will use this one a lot just for throwing in a few things and running around.

Ms. Liz.....
Great photos...indoor/outside, you really have a knack for this!
ah...how can you possibly choose which bag U like the best????

I love how the bags have different personalities.....

h8/cindy -
funny U should mention something about not liking black bags....cuz that's one thing I noticed when I saw your "HHHoard".....maybe I'm sensitive to this cuz I have few black bags.....

Very nice, Ms. Liz! Your photos really capture the details of this beauty. Can't wait for the modeling shots.

On another note, my distressed bronze Corcovado and violet crinkle Celina cuff are in the house! Photos will have to wait until tomorrow, unfortunately. First reactions:
- Love the Celina cuff! Great color, cute cuff. Some spots on the patent look a little faded than some other spots, but otherwise ok (I got it as a final sale item).
- Corcovado -- unfortunately, not love at first sight. More coppery and blingy than I thought it would be (although the color on the website is pretty close). There is one panel on the bottom front of the bag that is very distressed (e.g., looks like parts would flake off easily); otherwise, the bag is fine. Great design and detail. Hm... when I look at the bag, I think it looks nice, but maybe I just don't like it on me? I'll post modeling pics tomorrow and you all can let me know what you think!
