I see today that my package just shipped yesterday. I ordered on Saturday and they shipped on Thursday. For $30 shipping I would have expected them to send it first thing Monday...I guess my expectations were a little too high. Sorry for the rant, I was just really looking forward to using the Lorca last night and am very disappointed.
I agree that is totally unacceptable. I think you should email HH and let them know what happened - I am guessing it was an honest mistake/oversight. I would hope they would refund the extra you paid for expedited shipping, at an absolute minimum! I am really sorry you didn't have the bag for your event I am surprised by the slowness of the shipping this time - I normally have a tracking number in 24-48 hours, even in some of the heavier sales of the past!

The weirdest thing about all the shipping is that it seems this time the shipping dept and the sales department are out of sync.

My shipping status changed 3 or 4 times and showed a much later ship date. (like mid next week) I sent an email to customer service and Salina responded. The minute I got my email from her, I checked on site and the status was "shipped" with a tracking number.

It like the main office has to call or lead the shippers by the hand almost. Wonder if they have new people in the shipping department.

Still in all...I would definitely not be happy if i paid for expedited shipping. I think you should get a credit, also.

I'm posting my black patent corcovado as promised. The pictures are not all that good because it has rained all day again. If it stops and we have a pretty day tomorrow I'll take some more that are better. With the dark color of the bag and dark lighting the pictures could be better. Flash wouldn't do at all due to the reflection of the patent. If you want modeling pictures, I'll have my step son hold the bag. Here you go.

I got the tan one on sale! Don't feel bad though. I think HH has a few similar large bags that double as weekenders. The Beatrice Satchel was in the last sample sale.

Okay, here are the modeling pic's. My step-son felt silly but was sweet enough to model for me! Sorry, some of the pic's are blurry. I hope you can get a general idea of how the purse looks and carries.

Thanks so much for posting and tell your son that we owe him big time! Maybe they'll have the tan one again and I can grab it.

Default Stinky bag blues...I may have a solution

I picked up a light tan corcovado at the NoHo location. I think it's going to be my "go to" bag even more than Sonia because of the amazing pockets and how lightweight the patent is. I'm sorry I didn't get one in another color but the hunt will be on.

Now, as far as funky smell...I've done this with vintage bags so it may or may not work but it's worth a shot.

1) Take a box of baking soda, open it up slightly, and place it inside the bag. Enclose the entire shebang in a plastic bag for about two days so that the baking soda absorbs some of the "funk".

2) Remove the baking soda from bag and place some cedar chips (used to keep away moths etc. that I usually get at BB & Beyond or Home Depot), in a gauze sachet bag and leave it inside the purse.

This usually works for me.

3) I have also had some luck with placing a sliver of a lovin my bag candle in vanilla inside, which I wrap in a pillow case just in case to prevent the scented oil from touching the lining, (avoid the spice, IMHO gag worthy) (Don't put an entire one in the purse because a small piece serves just as well and this way you have more bang for the buck). You can get them online just type in lovin my bag...This tip was given to me by a fellow vintage purseaholic.

I've gotten mildew/dog/wet chicken feathers/baby poop stench out of purses using this technique. I hope it works for you.
