HH is sending me a diff. color for the passport holder so my dad can have one and I don't have to be thoroughly confused about what to do! Thanks HH!
I'm excited to get my goods. I didn't buy any bags this time around, just accessories! And the only accessories I had purchased before this were a coin purse and clutch wallet! Oh and kinbrooklyn - I feel the same way about the Sao Paolo. I have the hobo and i think it will wear in nicely and I'll have it a long long time! Now just to find a green one for when the red isn't the right color! |

I guess they can't say this on the website:
" sit on it, get cigarette ash and coffee on it, wipe it off with a baby wipe, the Sao Paolo is at once rustic, timeless and modern" |

Dcblam I'm not sure the khaki patent is the best leather choice for the Corcovado
Here is a description of both if anybody was curious: Corcovado khaki patent: The khaki patent is more like a khaki/tan than a beige. It's a little deeper than the website color. It doesn't have a luggage tag like the pewter corcovado. Because the patent leather is stiffer making the bag smaller with the turnlocks doesn't quite look right. Mireille clutch: Much cuter in person. Goes with many colors. The lining is a cheery red not the wine it appears on the site. Has a small metal plate saying Paule Marrot ( some people I know don't like names on their purses). Surprisingly big but very shallow. Could probably fit a paperback but not thick objects or makeup cases. Overall I'm very happy with both !!!!!! |

Wow..you gals are lucky...my 2 orders still are giving the generic "due to high volume" message...no movement at all.
Anyone else still seeing this when they try to track their loot? |

Just a quick response about the khaki patent as a choice for Corcovado. I agree with kinbrooklyn that the bag is deeper and more a more grey/green undertone khaki than a beige khaki. (In clothes, such as fatigues or well, khakis at the GAP or A&F it would not be sand but would be deep beige). No luggage tag either which I use to hold my Metro card. If you squoosh the sides by hand a bit, it is far more attractive when the turnlocks are used to make it less deep. Plus side, all of the wonderful pockets. Minus side, potential to lose everything that isn't in a folder or a smaller bag inside due to it's cavernous capacity. I just picked one up at the physical sample sale and have used it twice. It is light-weight and is definitely not stiff although it might be because it is non-produced, pre-production sample. The Jinhee totes and Corcovados that were seconds were a bit heavier and less smooshy but were still much more flexible and "giving" than other leathers. But in my experience, patent leather does soften up with continued use and for those of us whose backs are giving us trouble I would recommend the patent for a bag of this size. But I think the bag will be more fragile than one in a more study leather such as goatskin or non-patent. Stormy Leather would know far more than I would about this, I'm just giving a layman's (laywoman's?? no that sounds obscene) opinion. I still lust after that darn elusive Emerald goatskin one that got away. |
