Do it Jan!

Yeah I'd try the Brooklyn one (unless everyone has that idea)! Manhattan will certainly be popular.

I wish they'd given us a little more notice so I could plan a biz trip around this -- impossible to do with 2 days notice though - it takes me an entire day just to get to NYC with the time change thing. Have fun everyone who can go and I'm so jealous of the one of a kind goodies you're going to find!

GO..GO..GO..GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

I saw a few of the boxes that were being packed in the design shop..vintage bags, wallets, one of a kinds (some damages so examine carefully)..prototypes..samples..OMG..I died..

and MolMol.... ITA..to be honest, I am a wee bit upset that I can't go to the sale either..but today, it just felt a bit weird and wrong to point out that it was Rosh Hashanna..I didn't want to embarrass Toni, because in my mind if you are in the fashion industry..that's just a given to know this..KWIM???..and there was no "right" moment to point it out..although I think I might email Toni and Ben once this is over..and maybe some of you might do that too if it affects you..and FWIW..it would be amazing if they did run a sale online at the same time..but I understand the whole issues of overselling and glitches..so maybe that's why it isn't being done...but maybe oh maybe it will be..hey..I've been a good girl..

Trust me..if you can swing it, go..and I may be wrong but if you can get to Brooklyn it might be better to go there..don't shoot me if I am wrong...I WANT TO HEAR EVERYTHING AND SEE PHOTOS TOO.

We're all just know we'd find our ISO lists there aren't we?

I can understand with the problems they already have getting things out they wouldn't want to push our patience any more than it already has been but an on-line sale would have been fabulous...........

For the Chicago (area) hhh:

My hubby has his private/commercial pilot's license. He's part of a charter club that rents out planes to its members out of Wheeling. If enough of us are really serious about going, he could rent the plane even just for the day, fly us in and out lickety split. No hotels to book, no security/wait times to deal w. I'd love to go but would prefer to split costs (and hang w. other hotties! Chi-town, what!).

I really, really hope we could get enough gals on board. It'd be amazing, once-in-a-lifetime... (sigh) The thing is, he can't book it and then have nobody show. He'd (we'd) still be stuck paying.

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear! I don't know if it is better to go to the Brooklyn location or Manhattan. As much as I love the bags, I LOVE HH accessories and leather jackets even more.

I'm curious how much good stuff there could possibly be -- we're imagining closets full of vintage treasures, but I wonder how close to reality that is. And I'm never good with sale craziness. Still, I'm curious. I will be in the neighborhood of the Manhattan store both Friday and Sunday and will probably stop by. If I go hoping to find "the bag that got away" I know I will be disappointed. So I'll have open mind and open eyes -- and just see.

BTW, the Manhattan store is a tiny little space compared to the BK shop. They do cram a lot of pretty things in there, though.

I guess I'll wait to hear the deets from fri--if it sounds like it will be worthwhile maybe I'll drive down on sat? I don't know if my DF will go for it, but his sis does live only a few blocks from the greenpoint shop!
